Leaving them for their Safety

Today was the second to last night they gave me. The sun had set a while ago. It was night and the village quite. I stayed awake. Garroth was beside me sleeping. He decided to stay the night over since well since Him and the boys spend most there time playing at my house. I got up slowly making sure not to wake him up. I looked out of the window near me and saw not to far ahead a shadowed figure. They turned around and i saw there red eyes glow in the darkness of night. I could also see a sparkling white smile and soon that thing disappeared. I panicked and went to Malichi's and Levin's room. Nothing was there. I went back down and saw that figure standing over the bed watching Garroth. Its head then turned to me. "Nice to see you princess~" It was that darn voice that haunts every single nightmare i have had. "You what are you doing here?" I asked as if it wasn't that obvious. "I was just here to see my next victim. You know your last day is tomorrow. I would take you myself but...the fact that you have to go willingly makes it kinda pointless. Not to mention we were told not to take you by force and as much as i would love that i sadly can't" He said putting his sword on his back. "You know what will happen to him right? along with those kids...They will come with me. The kids will be put in one of my chambers and would be starved. and as in the brief moment when they are close to death we will you know...give them there proper ceremony before turning them into Shadow knights....as for your lover here. We will take him to our lord...from there he decides what kind of death he gets." he said. I couldn't help but look at Garroth. I didn't want anything to happen to them, Especially not little kids. "I'll do it" i said. He gave me a sly smirk and gripped my arm tight. But i pulled back. "i have to just explain myself" i said, he rolled his eyes but gave me a pen and paper. I felt tears stream down my face.I went to the table and began to write.

~Dear Garroth, Levin, and Malichi,

I am very sorry but i couldn't risk you suffering like many others. That letter that you gave me Garroth was a threat...a threat to go back home or if not you and the kids would be at the hands of death. I can't risk you especially kids. I'm very sorry it had to be this way. I just, can't live with the guilt of the pain that will come to you and the kids if i stay. I already lost friends, family, and loved ones i can't lose more. By the time you read this my wedding would have started again. I'm so sorry it had to be this way but i can't change this....as much as i would love to. Know that i will always love you even if i end up married to someone i don't want to. I will always be by you and i'm sorry i made stupid promises that i couldn't keep but i can't risk you or anyone else in this village come to an end. I'm very sorry Garroth....i will always love you~

I finished, and folded it placing it on the bed so Garroth could see.Before i left i gave him a last kiss before i was to be dragged away. "Now that you are done. Take my hand we'll be there in no time before the sun rises" i looked back at Garroth to see that he was sleeping still. I turned around and saw him holding his hand out....I took his hand.
