The sunrise was beautiful, like a wrapped egg yolk piercing out from the stretch of the dark blue ocean.
Feet soaked in silky sand, made deep prints as an echo sounded him. His brown chestnut hair blew against his deep featured face. Eyes fluttered into the beyonds, waiting for the question being answered.
'You love the wrong person'
He bit his lips. Kneeling down to the sands, he felt the endless bottom pit within him.
Just how long will he forget or ... maybe he had lost himself along the way.
"Chris" A feminine voice hailed from a distance.
Eyes still watched, pouring silence at the stretch. He witnessed the shadow made as it vividly darkens beside him.
"You hadn't slept the whole night." Her hand reached to him as it landed on his muscular arm. The sudden contact of a lower temperature runs from her fingers as it awakens the man in his dreams.
"You are so cold." His eyes landed on the beautiful Asian girl.
She smiled with the cherry lips, shaking in denial. Her body moved closer with seconds of change. Circling around his waist as the head landed on his chest.
"Chris, love me" She pleaded.
His eyebrow frowned in denial. The striking pain stabbed at his heart again. That endless woes didn't leave him but stayed permanently. Many years later it will be a deep scar of a wound that once fleshly soaked with blood.
Breathing deeply as he remained in silence.
"Why?" The girl in his cuddles questioned as the voice clipped with dim sobers.
He pushed her away as he turned around back into the cottage. Tucking into his pocket, he lay his head low. The eyes that watched his movement never sway away. Like she was drown in him whole-hearted. Deeply obsessed with his every movement and every conversation.
"Get inside, Rachel" He called out from a distance.
Though he had not submit his heart to her but he could feel her somewhere inside him where she know a barrier had built, the crown of walls which would not tumble.
---
Monday morning, the blanket covered the person whom refused to be awake. Snoozing of the alarm had sounded for an hour.
"Chris, wake up." Shaking him as she waited for him to made a response.
His eyes tried to open with difficulty as the blazing sun ray pierced into his bedroom window.
Watching the girl still standing beside him, he turned back into his blanket.
"You got a meeting at ten." She insisted on her stand, not budging for any room of changes.
Exhaling at the hopeless daily activity that he wasn't sure why he have to do, his hands stretched after a deep nap.Seating up with all the back aches burden. He stared at the girl that landed in her smiles.
"Breakfast is ready." Her expression so cheeky. It was hard to believe she was that girl stood at the beach whom pleaded for his love.
"Rachel." Calling up as he felt the words entwined at his throat.
Her eyes stayed at his presence, not moving away a single inch. This girl that had no idea how many men were dying to have her by their side is standing in front of him. Every thing that he does would raise the tides and waves in her.
"Morning" He smiled. He couldn't bear to ask if she's okay. He was afraid it would remind of her pain as well.
"Morning." The smile printed, sweetly. She turned as she headed out of the bedroom.
Shutting his eyes as he gave up himself even trying harder. The diamond solitaire casing that stood on his bedside table, given a deep sigh. 'You haven't move on and I'm still here'
Exhaling his grievance, he quickly got down from the bed. Not wanting to move on, neither wanted to stay for a second.
Beep .. Beep ..
The phone at the table vibrating with a new message shown.
Holding up as his thumb swiped across to unlock the phone. He read the message. The eyes stared in terror. A faded shivers on his lips caused his motion stopped.
[Hi, It's me. Grace]
