[ Grace's POV ]
I stood in front of the building. My sunglasses had filtered much brazing sunray. It is twelve at noon. Grabbing my worn off Louis Vuitton speedy bag, I held my head high as I walked.
"Good Morning Madam, how can I help you?" A young lady greeted me at the counter. She was wearing the Solitaire ever green uniform. It's the favourite colour of George. I remembered him telling me that he gets turned on when I wore green lingerie.
"I came to see Ms. Rachel Wong." I took off my sunglasses as my eyelashes fluttered with absolute dominant.
"Madam, how can I greet you?" She asked with politeness.
"Grace. Grace Emore." I raised one end of my lips while I felt the storms I would bring.
"Please wait for a moment." She nodded in my request. Her back tilted downwards while her finger busily dialed a few numbers. Whispering under her breath as I could hardly heard anything.
"Ms. Wong would be here in a moment. Please wait." She made a hand gesture at the few empty seats beside the counter.
I gradually walked in confidence. Seating back as I waited for the lady.
It had been years since I had been here. Back then, I waited for Chris to finish work. Sometimes, I sneaked in and took the emergency staircase to see George. Both were my favourite. It's like I can't lose the both of them. One had the wealth while the other had the passion.
But as George grew tired of me, he left me as well. It was a horrible two years that I stayed in that pig-sty-looking place. George bought me a villa as an exchange if I am willing to become his hidden woman after the news were brought to the surface. Without much hesitation, I picked my choice between George and Chris. Just as Chris proposed to me, it gave me a better timing to leave him.
I didn't expect George would start to be sick and tired about my seductive moves on bed. He complained that I wasn't that interesting as he assumed. After he had totally cut the ties with me, I was left with only that villa as an asset. But soon enough, my money were used up. The villa had to be sold for money. I was left with only that cheap rented room in Driven Lane.
But, God didn't treat me bad.
Smirking at my pawns, I felt the victory in my grips again.
"You must be Grace. I am Rachel." A lady stood in front of me. Asian and I can't deny that she is a beauty. Chris had quite a taste on the woman he would be with.
"Yes. Greetings." I smiled as I stood up.
"It's regarding work or personal?" She frowned at my sudden presence. A straightforward lady that doesn't turn around the bush.
"Both I would say." I replied.
"Chris should be the one you are seeing." She couldn't see the point that I am here to see her.
"You are important as well for ... this." I handed her an envelope of photos. Smirking at the pawn in my hand. Patiently, I waited for her reaction.
She stared at the photos in atonishment. Her eyes looked up as the fear grew in her.
"I thought... you might want to have a coffee." I gestured her to head outside.
"We will get some at the opposite cafe." She replied at my request.
---
The coffee aroma was wrapping the ambiance. A small cafe with very good quality coffee served. Rachel sat opposite while she frowned at my intentions.
"What do you want?" Her tone was wrapped with anger and impatience.
"I need a favour. About work... I think it's fine. Ms. Greene would settle it for me." I smirked as I knew I was on the upper hand.
"it's your doing." She pointed her guessing on Ms. Greene's sudden request to add in my name.
"Of course. As for personal, I need you to agree with Chris about me staying with the both of you." I continued with every word sounded clearly in her ears.
"How are you so sure that Chris would consider." She folded her arms, unable to rectify of my confidence.
"I knew him well. He has a soft heart." My answer rang her heart.
She seems to went in deep thoughts like it was a difficult choice to made. Looking at the photos I had handed to her, she couldn't act ignorance on my request.
"Give me some time." She pleaded.
"I will, before Solitaire's festive showcase." I patted on her back as I walked out of the cafe. Leaving her alone in the cafe with those photos.
