"You are ... awake?" A voice travelled down my spine, sending me shivers.
Eyes stared blankly. Breathing was slow. I could feel my cold sweat rolling down my forehead. Tugging into my pockets. I blinked for a little hesitation to turned around.
"You're not returning back to Rachel, are you?" She smirked. Her tone was clipping with giggling. There was an evil understatement in her sentence.
What have I got myself into? My regrets were swimming upwards. I shut my eyes trying my best to repent. Begging underneath my breath that it would be just an easy woman to shake off.
"What do you want?" I looked into her eyes. My expression stayed still. Feigning as much fearful momentum to creep her up.
"It's not me. It's her." She pointed her phone that was laying on the bedside table. "I was just returning my favour."
In confusion, I slowly walked to her phone. Grabbing the phone up as I stared at the picture. I was looking at a photo of me and Kathy naked. Was she referring 'her' to herself or someone else?
I looked up at her again for an answer.
"Grace." She answered.
"I don't get you." I raised the phone up at her for the photo displayed. How does it got to do with Grace?
Kathy got down the bed. She moved herself to get a bathrobe as she wrapped her body. Looking at the mirror as she attempt to tidy her messy hair. Seating on the chair at the window side. she smiled at the scenery.
"Grace called last night. She asked me to follow you. I was just returning a favour since ... " She explained before pondering at her uncompleted sentence.
"Rumours about me and John? It was for real. Grace helped me on that." Her eyes smiled at the rumours like she was so proud of it.
"I was only following you for that favour. Never did I realise you were much hotter than John. I just couldn't make myself to stay away from you for even a second." Her face blushed at last night scene. I vividly recalled her seating on me while I faintly saw her unbuttoning my clothes.
"Rachel had been so unfaithful. I should have help you get back on her by making you cheat with me. It would be..."
I stood up as I signalled her to pause.
My eyes stared in astonishment. I was catching that sentence she claimed. 'Rachel had been so unfaithful'
"What do you mean by that?" My question was sounded with anger.
"Erm. She was cheating on you?" Her voice was filled with doubts. As if I had been aware about it all along.
"She came from an incest family." Kathy explained, smirked at the disgust of the cheating part.
Mouth wide open. I stood frozen for that moment. Experiencing the tornado twirling all my emotions. Like my life was all screwed up. That lady I had been with for two years and lived together. She was a cheating machine. Cheating on me with her own family?
I felt so breathless. My heart was beating profusely. I could sense the shivering across my shoulder, down to my spine. I was lost in my world. A world that I portrayed of me and Rachel. I had been trying with effort to forget and forgive Grace so that I could embrace Rachel with love again.
The striking pain stuffed at my heart. My lips were bitting hard. I feel a tear on my lip, blood was leaked. I tasted my own blood. It was salty. There was salty taste of my own. A damned love I wanted to embrace.
How could Rachel have done that?
"Chris?" Kathy called. Sounding me in my brain waves.
"Chris?" She repeated the hailing as I felt dizzy.
I rejected myself as I ran out of the room. Afraid to face the person inside. I am smeared with embarrassment. My face wiped with silliness and a fool to be constructive displayed.

[Rachel's POV]
He hadn't came back the whole night.
Seating on the sofa, grabbing my fist as I stared at the door. It's already morning and he haven't returned.
Did he went to find Grace? Did his heart still couldn't forget Grace?
My tears rolled down again. It had stained my face and deep down in my heart. After this two years of being there for Chris, always taking care of him wasn't enough to melt his heart. Even how many guys proposed to me, dated me, I rejected all of them to stay with him.
Just then, a clicking on the door was heard. I stood up and went forward. Opening the door to welcome the man that had returned. To my surprise, he was looking at me with anger. Like as if I had did something so wrong to him.
"Chris?" I called, trying to reassure my doubts. My hand went forward to touch him but was shook off at split seconds.
"Don't touch me!" He roared at my movement.
Just as I could react, Chris had walked into his room with a loud slamming on the door.
The expression on his face showed disgust. I was unable to rectify the look that he worn. Could he have found out something?
Was it... my family's shame?
Covering my mouth as I fall down on my weak knees. The shivering hand touched my chest, grabbing for an inch of secure. Bulging eyes felt the warm tears rolling down my cheek. I still couldn't save my last dignity. Grace could have told Chris about my family.
"I should have knew it.... Chris wouldn't accept my background." Mumbling the words in my mouth.
