After Mahima went to the back to take a shower, Aditya went to the front to join Laksh. The truth was that he complained to their leader about Vijith, because he was posing to be more of a threat than anything else. Their leader then brought a car this morning and took Vijith back, while leaving Laksh in his place.

Laksh was his partner from his training days. They didn't speak much, but Aditya felt more comfortable around him. He trusted that Laksh was not as much of a threat.

"Has the President agreed yet?" Aditya asked, as he sat down next to Laksh.

"Nope. Not yet. The President has sent forces out to search for Mahima," Laksh explained. "So we have to be wary. The moment we hear any commotion, we have to flee this place."

"They won't find this place," Aditya replied.

To get to this place, they had to drive through a dense forest.

"Boss says we'll give the President two weeks," Laksh told him. "If the President still does not accept our orders, then you must kill Mahima."

Aditya nodded.

"Yeah..." he murmured.

He thought back to the innocent way she held on to him last night, so fearfully, and the glimpse of that image in his mind was not making the thought of killing her any easier.

"Dev?" Mahima's voice called out from the back.

"I'll be back," Aditya replied, and he stood up and walked around to the back of the hut.

When he got there, his breath was taken away. Mahima was standing up, wrapped in a towel, with beads of water dropping down her body.

He quickly looked away.

"D - Dev... h - how do I get inside?" Mahima asked, "I - I don't want to walk past Laksh like this."

"He won't look. It'll be fine. Come," Aditya said, but Mahima stood rooted to her spot nervously.

Aditya sighed and lifted his gaze, looking back up at her. He walked upto her and took her soft hand in his, while her other one was still busy keeping the towel in place.

"Trust me," he told her firmly.

"O - okay," she stammered.

Then, holding her hand, he walked towards the front with her, so they could go inside.

"Laksh close your eyes," Aditya ordered as he approached the door to the hut.

Laksh's eyes were closed as Aditya pulled Mahima past him and into the front of the hut. Mahima breathed a sigh of relief once she got inside, and Aditya let go of her hand.

"Get dressed. Laksh brought some food too," he informed. "We can eat after."

Mahima nodded and she went to scrummage through the clothes that Laksh brought.

As Aditya went back outside, he was hit with a strange thought.

Why did she feel comfortable with him seeing her in a towel but not his partner?
