Your Problems | Oikawa Tooru | Part 1/2 |Gender-neutral
*Trigger warning: depressionOikawa was depressed, and insecure. You knew that, of course, being his significant other.
You, too were depressed, and insecure. And if course, you didn't like focusing on your own problems, so you always would try and help Oikawa. And vice versa, but it was mostly you comforting Oikawa.
"(Y/N)-chan?" Oikawa looked up at you. His head was on your lap, and you were stroking his hair.
"Yeah, Tooru?" you replied. You already knew what he was going to ask.
"Why do you love me?" your boufriend, predictably, questioned.
You sighed. "You asked this question every time. I tell you every time, because you're perfect to me." Usually Oikawa would nod, and nuzzle into you, but today was different. Oikawa seemed even more depressed than before. So, he prompted even more.
"Do you pity me, (F/N)-chan?~"
You sighed again. "Tooru. . . I don't pity you."
There was a long pause, then Oikawa struck up another question.
"Do you even like my personality? You always answer with 'you're perfect to me'. But that could mean my looks are perfection. So, if you mean that, does that mean people only like me for my looks?"
You mentally face palmed. You never remembered listing any reasons to him. So of course, he was going to ask that question.
"I don't like you for just your looks. I fell in love with you for your determination in volleyball. You kept going, even though you knew that there was someone more talented than you. And look, you surpassed him. You're the best setter now.
"You want to bring out the best in others. You haven't given up on anyone yet. And you're also great with your fangirls. You're always patient with them, and never rude when you turn them down.
"Speaking of that, you haven't left me. We've been together for four years, now, ever since our last year in junior high."
You smiled down at him.
"But, do my fangirls like me for just my looks?" Oikawa asked.
"Forget them, if they do. They should love you for your determination and dedication. And you still have Iwaizumi and I. We care for you so much, Tooru."
"You're right, (F/N)-chan," Oikawa said. He closed his eyes, and nuzzled into you. Your conversation finally over.
You continued to run your fingers through his hair, until you fell asleep
**********
You awoke into the early hours of dawn. You were tucked into blankets on the couch.
You hopped up, not seeing Oikawa in sight.
You called into his house.
"Tooru!" you yelled.
No reply
You tried again, "Tooru! Where are you?"
Silence.
Panic came over you. You ran upstairs to check his room. Oikawa wasn't there.
Your anxiety got even worse. There was nothing around to tell if Oikawa was still there.
You grabbed your cell phone and dialed his phone number.
You heard it ring in the other room. You ended the call in frustration. Tears formed in your eyes. Your breathing became light.
The only other person you could think to call was Iwaizumi.
Your phone rung a little, then Iwaizumi picked up.
"What's up, (F/N)?" Iwaizumi asked casually.
"I-Iwaizumi-i, T-Tooru-u is g-gone," you managed to get out.
"Dammit, Trashykawa!"
