You Deserve Better || Sugawara Koushi || Gender-neutral || Part 2 of Ex's
You sat at a table of the ice cream shop, waiting for Suga to bring back the ice cream cones. This was the only way Suga could get you out of the house, and even then, you were pretty stubborn.
Your hair was dishelved, and your clothing choice was poor: a sweatshirt and track pants; and frankly, you didn't care about your appearance.
Sugawara came back with two ice cream cones in his hand. He gave you yours and sat down, across from you. He didn't want to bring up (ex boyfriend's name), just in case that would upset you. Even then, we was wary to bring up conversation prompts.
He opened his mouth, about to speak, before you did.
"I just can't believe he left me for some bitch!" you wept. You took a bite out of your ice cream, and slumped down.
I guess getting out of the house won't help at all. Suga thought to himself.
Suga watched as you cried silently, tears rolling down your face.
"(F/N) let's go home," he suggested. You nodded your head, licking your ice cream.
Suga stood up, and waited for you to.
The two of you walked out of the door, you feeling miserable, and Suga feeling worried.
"Can we walk in the park?" you asked.
Suga was shocked by your request, but he gladly said "yes." As long as you would cheer you up a little it didn't matter to him.
Walking in the park with one of your best friends eased your mind. The warm sun, shining down on your face; birds' chirping filling your ears; the soft breeze brushing your face. It all made you feel at peace.
You continued to eat your ice cream, while you and Suga walked in silence.
Of course during this, you were thinking about your ex, but this time, you didn't break down into tears. You analyzed your situation rationally, going over everything that happened; and of course nothing added up, but everything went smoothly.
After about thirty minutes, you and Suga began to walk back to your place. You really wanted to go back home, and curl back up in your sheets.
When you got into your house you walked to the kitchen to make some ramen, before going to your bed and being depressed.
As you waited for the water to boil, you pulled out your phone. You saw that an acquaintance texted you. You glanced at it through the notification, and already got a bad feeling.
You unlocked your phone.

Look how cute they are!
Within five seconds you were back to bawling your eyes out. The picture was of your ex and his girlfriend. It was clear that your acquaintance did not get the memo that you and (ex-boyfriend's name) used to date.
Suga dashed into the kitchen, cradling you into his arms.
"He looks so happy with her!" you wailed. Tears would not stop flowing. Your breathing was rapid. You wished it would just all end, right then and there.
Suga hated seeing you in pain; but he hated that he couldn't do anything to help you even more.
"Stop thinking about him. You're better than him," Suga comforted.
It somewhat worked, your crying calmed down a little. However, it was soon riled up again.
"(F-F/N)," Suga choked out. "I-I like y-you." His voice was working without his permission, and he didn't know how to stop it. "P-please, I don't want to see you like this because of some stupid guy."
You looked up at Suga. Your breathing still ragged. The last few tears fell from your eyes. Although you heard his words clearly, the couldn't register in your mind at all.
"Y-you like me?" you said, trying to get it through your head what he said.
"Y-yes. . ." the poor setter stuttered. "I-I know this is awkward, and maybe too soon, but please go out with me.
"I know I can give you more; and I know I'm not the best. But all that matters is that I can make you happy.
"Please (F/N), give me a chance."
You looked up at Sugawara. Every memory of your ex's disappeared in that moment. You forgot all your pain, and emotional agony. What would be so bad about it? . . .
"I will."
