Headcannon: Noya can't sleep unless he is played a lullaby

(A/N) - BTW, I'm going to do Valentine's Day scenarios, so like, I need some character suggestions.

You walked to school with your boyfriend's hand laced with yours.

Lately, Nishinoya has been is less energetic and lively self. He always came to school with dark circles and bags under his eyes. It had began to worry you that Noya had developed a mental disorder that triggered insomnia. (Or he could actually be studying, but who are we kidding? It's Nishinoya.)

"Noya, are you sure you're okay?" you asked. "You look a lot more exhausted than you usually do."

Nishinoya locked a gaze with you. "Yeah, I'm fine, (F/N)-chan," Noya confirmed.

You sighed. No matter what, the libero didn't want you to stress over him, so he always told a white lie if he didn't look 'all right.'

"Maybe you should not go to practice today," you suggested.

The male shook his head. "No, the team needs me like every day. Who would be the great defender then?"

You giggled a small bit, and went on in a comforting silence.

It was late into the night, and you had finally finished your mountainous pile of homework. You debated on skipping out on practising the piano tonight, and falling asleep; but you decided to play.

You sat down on the bench and rest your fingers on the keys. You looked up at your score, and began playing.

Nishinoya laid on his bed, his eyes were closed, but his mind was wandering. The poor boy's head was too crowded, and he couldn't calm down. If only his mother were here to lull him to sleep with one of her songs.

He would of asked (F/N), but it was very late, and probably falling asleep right now. Requesting for a berceuse at this time of night would be too selfish. That's when the first note struck, soon followed by many others.

It was almost as if the gods had answered Nishinoya's pleas for a lullaby. However, the boy could not rest until he found out who was playing. It was quite obvious, but he still wanted to see the person.

The libero sat up in his bed, and swung his legs onto the solid ground. He walked over to his window to so you grazing your fingers over the black and white keys. Your window was slightly ajar, letting the notes flow out.

Noya set his elbow on the window sill, and leaned his head on his palm. He watched with intent as you played, slowly being soothed.

The boy's eyelid's felt heavy. His brain had finally calmed down.

You finished the song, and looked out your window.

You let out a light snicker. You stood up, and walked over to your window, and tapped on the glass, trying to get Noya's attention.

Said boy pried his eyes open to meet with your (E/C) ones.

"You should go lay down," you mouthed.

Noya understood as much as he could, and fell back down onto his bed.

His eyelids had fallen, and the boy fell into a tranquil slumber.

You smiled at the empty pane across from yours. You turned around, and sat back down to continue playing hushing melodies.

"Wow! (F/N), I didn't know you could play piano that well!" Nishinoya commented with a lot more energy than he regularly did.

You beamed at your boyfriend. It seemed that he had gotten a good night's rest last night. You were glad that Noya was reverting back to his enthusiastic persona.

The volleyball player stopped talking for a moment. But he looked at you, and made eye contact. A small blush had crept onto his cheeks.

"C-c-can you play me a song like that every night?" he asked, shyly.

"Of course," you chuckled, and squeezed Noya's hand tighter.
