Piano || Akaashi Keiji || Gender-neutral

(A/N) - So like there's another Akaashi one I'm working on, and it's over 3000 words right now. . . SO YOU GET THIS. Btw I'm going to talk about something if you want to learn guitar, ukulele or piano

You perched yourself on a chair right next to the piano. The piano that was playing melodious tunes that was produced by your boyfriend.

You watched as his fingers glided over the keys; each one of them pressed lightly onto a black or cream key. You would occasionally glance downwards and see him foot hitting one of the three peddals. It all put you in a trance. His music seemed flawless, and his technique was seamless, you would kill to play piano like him.

"(F/N)  why do you like watching me practice?" Akaashi asked while he etched down a few notes in his music (haha. I'm so alone.)

"Because I really like hearing you play," you replied.

Akaashi's eyes shot over at you before returning to their place where he was writing. "If you're just hearing me play, them why do you watch me so closely. You could just sit somewhere where you can still hear."

"I think you're a great piano player. I wish I could play like you, so I like watching," you chirped.

"If you wanted to learn how to play, you could have asked me," Akaashi said as he set down his pencil and tapped a few keys, but he didn't let a sound ring.

"REALLY?!" you jumped up and practically slammed your hands on the keys in excitement.

"Yes. Now don't hurt my piano!"

**********

You waited patiently on the piano bench. You tired playing a few notes to make up a song, but you didn't know any hand technique, so you failed miserably. So you continued to wait.

Akaashi came down the stairs with worn music books in his arms. He carried a brand-new fold with him that had your name printed on it in large letters.

"These are my old books, so we'll be using them," Akaashi said as he dropped them onto the bench.

You picked up the one on the top and leafed through it. The music looked very easy to play, now that you got to see it on paper.

"Keiji, let's play this!" you piped up. You held the music book up flipped to the song you wanted to learn.

"No, you don't even know the keys yet," Akaashi stated the cold, dead truth.

Your head dropped a little. It was true you were sixteen and didn't know where middle C was located on the piano. You sighed.

"C is easy to find." Akaashi tapped a key in the center of the piano. It didn't have a black key before it, but it had one after it.

"The white keys are nateual notes. Black ones are sharp notes or flat notes. Meaning they're one half step above natural ones."

You cocked your head to the side. You got lost when he said 'natrual notes'. Then got when more lost when he said 'one half step above natural ones.' You could tell this would be a while until you got it.

Akaashi sighed, like you did. He has to walk you through this like a child. He was quote surprised you didn't know a thing about music. He thought that your family would have made you play violin, or the piano, like him.

Akaashi began directing you through notes on the treble clef, since that one was the one you were most likely to see in most other music. He gave you staff paper with random notes on it.

**********

For the first week you didn't touch the piano at all. All the two of you did was go over the bare basics, which mostly involved notes. After that Akaashi had you identify the keys saying which ones were A's or G's. By the third week you were playing a few songs with your right hand. And by the fourth week you were doing it with your left.

It all went by smoothly, until the fifth week. That was when it started to get really difficult for you. That's when you were playing with two hands. It was hard for your mind to read (bass/treble) notes and comprehend which finger should go down.

"I can't do this!" you cried.

"Don't be silly," Akaashi said. "I know it's hard, but come in you're doing great."

"I KNOW. But it's just so harrrddd!" you complained.

"Work on the hands speratly then slowly play them together," Akaashi instructed.

You followed what he said. It was difficult, but you managed to get through it.

By the seventh week you weren't stressing anymore. You began really enjoyed the piano like you dreamed you would. But what really made this experience exciting was that Akaashi was your piano teacher. And you were pretty sure anyone else, besides him, would have given up on you by now.

OKAY!!! So if you want to learn guitar, ukulele, or piano I suggest Yousician. It's a free app that has hands on, and a few video tutorials.

I'm learning piano on it, and I have never played the piano since I was four, so it was almost a start from scratch for me.

I really like it, I'm really able to learn piano easily and without any extra charge besides the instrument itself.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST IT. I LIKE IT A LOT.
