[CHAPTER SIXTEEN]

"Where's the food?" I nervously asked as Brad lightly bit his lower lip. "You can't have a picnic without food."
"It's already there!" He confirmed starting the ignition of the car. "I got my dad to drive me here this morning extremely early so I could prepare-"
"Won't people at the park steal the food? Free food left there with no owner!" I asked more curiously. "I know I definitely would."
"It's in a very secret place." He whispered taking a sharp corner. "Now, sit back and enjoy the ride."
The journey was considerably short and soon enough, we arrived at the this secret location. Brad parked the car and we hoped out. I walked around to the back and unstrapped Arabella whilst Brad walked ahead.
In the distance, I could see the classic style picnic blanket laid out with a hamper full of food next to a glistening lake in a nice shady spot underneath a tree from the warm glow of the summer sun.
"Is this alright?" Brad asked concerned, noticing my eyes wandering around.
"I-It's perfect." I stuttered in shock. "How did you find the beautiful spot?"
"Before having Arabella, I used to come here all the time to escape from my thoughts and relax!" Brad explained as he laid himself amongst the grass. "I had my first kiss over there-" he pointed over to the large rock.
"With who?" I chuckled shyly, placing Arabella in her chair. I laid on my back and stretched my legs out.
"With a girl in my class, way back in year eight." He sniggered. "It was for a dare."
"Oh, how romantic!" I joked with the compliment. "Most romantic kiss in the history of first kissed!"
Brad's eyes lit up with amusement as he titled his head to the side and laughed. He loved to laugh and just wanted to be happy.
"This is a very romantic spot." His hands rested on my sides which made my heart race in my chest nervously. "Tristan and I made out here as well-"
"What?" I spluttered causing droplets of water to escape my mum. Oh, how lady like of me!
"You see Tradley is real, just Brooke gets in the way sometimes but HNnE again she covers the relationship quite well." He laughed tutting at my sigh and drew me closer to him.
My eyes set over him, he was wearing a white t-shirt that enhanced his toned chest and his traditional leather jacket over his shoulder and pair of washed out black jeans with vans.
"Don't be too jealous." He caught me staring and smacked his lips together.
"I'm not, I don't need anyone on my life to love." I said sadly, shaking my head.
"How about James?" Brad sighed, snuggling his head into my shoulder on attempt to cheer me up. "You two are going well-"
"Did you know he's got a girlfriend?" I spat out which caused Brad to gasp.
