[CHAPTER TWENTY THREE]

One fucking line.
I wasn't pregnant! I squealed tossing the stick into the bin before catching my reflection in the wide mirror. Although, I wore a smile it hid a lot of pain and curiosity - what would have been Brad's response if it did turn out I was pregnant?
Would he have been excited? Annoyed? Scared? Nervous? Optimistic?
Just then, the door to the bathroom opened and in walked Brooke. She leaned against the wall fidgeting with her sunglasses in her hand unable to wait any longer.
"W-well? Brooke whispered, looking like she had just seen a ghost. "Are you or are you not?" I looked up at her and managed a small smile. Her grin broadens in response.
"It was close call, but I'm not." My voice cracked a bit at the end.
"Thank fuck!" She cussed, her hands instantly covering her mouth as the word left her mouth. I let out a laugh before twirling a strand of my hair around my pinky.
"You could say that again." I said with a heavy sigh. "I didn't expect that result."
"For someone that has found out there life isn't ruined and they aren't carrying a child of a boy who said there intimidate time together didn't mean anything, you aren't exactly over the moon nor the slightest bit happy?"
"I am!" I forced a smile and whipped the back of my hand across my forehead.
"You aren't a very good liar!" She commented raising her eyebrow in suspicion.
"I just thinking about what it would be like having a child." I muttered defensively. "Imagine having a little family of your own."
"Just because you aren't pregnant the first time means you can the second time." She reassured me with half a smile. "You still have your whole life ahead, wouldn't you like the father of your child and you to be in a serious relationship?"
I thought about it for a minute, Brooke was right. Brad and I weren't stable to have our own child; firstly, because he had Arabella and secondly, he didn't even like me.
"Glad that I'm not then." I repeated once again.
"Are you going to tell Brad about the scare you had today?" She then questioned my next move. I shrugged in response.
Did he really need to know?
"Alright then, are you going to tell him about your feelings towards him?" She suddenly directed to me.
"What feelings?" I asked intrigued, trying to remain completely calm.
"Sienna, don't act oblivious with me!" She snapped sharply, her frustration with me hinting through the tone of her voice. "Despite the amount of times you deny it, I can see you like him. Why else would you be sad that you aren't carrying his child?"
"Shit! Brooke, would you keep your voice down for gods sakes? The last thing I need is the whole pharmacy out there hearing this-"
