[CHAPTER FORTY TWO]

I had been discharged from hospital over a week ago and quite frankly I wished I was still there - contained in my small room, not having to face the real world.

I hadn't spoken a word to Noah nor Amelia, however apparently Amelia had try to contact Brad but he always ignored her calls.

Noah had tried to communicate with me for the most at the beginning of the week and gradually gave up making an effort when I never replied. Surprise, surprise he still has spoken to mum and dad about what happened between us.

This only enhanced my desperation to leave for university, term was only two weeks away - to get away from my brother and his girlfriend but also to grow up and not be so dependent on my parents. However, that left me with another issue - my relationship with Brad. I couldn't exactly open up and talk to him about what we were going to face due to his problems with Amelia, his daughter had to come first before his girlfriend.

I picked up my mobile from the beside table beside me as I watched the raindrops roll down the window and onto the windowsill outside. The phone rang five times before a husky voice picked it up and answered on the other end.

"This really isn't a good time, right now."

"What?" Can't you speak to your own girlfriend."

"This is more important."

"Than me?"

"Wait, Sienna-"

"Forget it Brad!"

"Sie-" I threw my phone down on the bed in anger and disconnected the call. What was he doing that was more important than speaking to me - I was only calling to see if he was alright after not communicating much since I left hospital.

My phone buzzed by my feet. I exhaled and reached to see what excuse Brad had message me - but to my surprise, it wasn't from Brad. It was from Noah.

From Noah

Can we talk sis?

At that exact moment, there was a knock at my bedroom door.

"Who said I wanted to talk?" I asked as he opened the door wi hour waiting for me to tell him whether he could come in or not. He walked towards the bed as perched at the side by my feet giving me a small smile.

"We can't carry on like his, we're family-" he reminded me with a soft voice. "Despite how much you hate me, you're stuck with me unfortunately."

"Doesn't mean I have to speak to you." Crossing my arms over my chest, I whispered Irene to face the other way. I wasn't exactly very good at hiding the fact that I was still annoyed and frustrated and Noah instantly picked this up and began to talk nonsense.

"Sienna, here me out." He sighed deeply. "I only defended Amelia because I love her, you know you would do anything for Brad because you love him. I only want to support and make her happy."

"But can't you see that she's doing?" I exclaimed. "Her actions are unfair and selfishness to both Brad and Arabella, but still you're supporting her. She's completely in the wrong."

"Just because in supporting her like a boyfriend should, doesn't mean I agree. I heard you say that once or twice to Brad."

"Don't compare myself and Brad to you and Amelia."

"Sienna..." his voice broke slightly as he said my name, he sighed.

"This shouldn't be about us, it should be between Brad and Amelia. But you made it about us when you defended your girlfriend over your sister."

"Are you saying you would take my side other Brad's just because we are blood relatives?" He questioned, raising his eyebrow slightly. I sat there in utter silence, unable to answer. Maybe he was right. "Exactly-"

"We all want what's best for that child." I admitted truthfully. "You think the best is with full custody with its mother, whilst I think it's best with its father."

"I try to talk to Amelia about allowing Brad to see Arabella regularly, but she disagreed." He whispered in a small voice. My eyes flickered up to his as I wore a confused expression.

"You did?" I swallowed.

"I said, I supported her but didn't enterally agree with her." He reminded me as he pules me into his chest. "Please don't let this ruin our sibling bond-" I wrapped my arms around him and closed my eyes, taking in his presence - I really missed being around my big brother.

"I don't know how we'll get through this though."

"We always manage."

Once again, my phone buzzed at my feet.

"Who is it?"

"Brad-" I huffed.

"What's wrong? Have you two fallen out?"

"I rang him earlier but he said something else was more important than speaking to me." I explained quickly.

"Maybe, you should see what he wants know. He could be apologising." I nodded in agreement and unlocked my phone to see his message.
