Love has never felt like this

Chapter 16!

***TimeSkip//Shan'sPoV***

Tomorrow is the day. I'm so nervous I can't even form a coherent sentence. I've spoken to Heather about it and she knows the plan, I've also spoken to Ness and Shea.. They're in LA right now, but Cam doesn't know that. They've been absolutely amazing. I never thought when Ness and I were dating we'd become best friends, but she's been the greatest help in all this, along with Heather. They've been organising stuff, like the food and the venue, whilst I've been occupying Cam. I've been completely throwing Cam off of the scent when it comes to her gift. I don't want her finding out at all. Tomorrow, Cam and I will have been together 5 years. There's been ups, there's been downs, there's been arguments, there's been happiness. There's been tears of joy, and tears of sadness, but all throughout, we have remained faithful and loving of each other. When I met Camden.. It was the best time of my life.. I didn't really believe in love before, because I'd always had bad experiences.. I'd never truly found someone that brightened up my day, could make me happy by saying hello.. I'd never met somebody that I could spend every minute of every day with, and never get bored. I never once imagined being able to spend my life with one person. But Camden will definitely be that person now. She shows me what life is all about. I'm so in love with her. Right now I was in our bedroom and Cam was in the living room, Heather was out sorting things out for tomorrow. I would have done it but Cam has been getting very suspicious with me going out a lot. She even questioned me on whether or not I was cheating! I was super pissed that day, but I guess I can't blame her. I got up from our bed and walked to the living room, Cam didn't hear me, so I decided to dive over the sofa ledge and onto Cam, it was so unexpected but still I didn't succeed in scaring her! She just laughed her cute little butt off. I kissed her face all over and tickled her at the same time, she was laughing hysterically.
"I love you, Cammie"
"I love you.."
I kissed her passionately, wanting to how her just how much I love her. Cam and I decided to order in some food and watch a movie.. We decided to get sushi because who doesn't love sushi, right? I was editing a vlog when the doorbell sounded, it was the delivery guy, I paid for our food and then got some plates from the kitchen and Cammie and ate. After we had both finished, Cam came and cuddled into me, watching the film. Within 30 minutes, Cam was dead to the world. She looked so sweet when she was sleeping! I silently turned off the TV and picked Cam up, bridal style. I gently laid her on the bed, and changed her into some of my Pj's since hers all needed to be washed. I went and switched off all of the lights, and then came back to bed. I cuddled Cam, making her the little spoon and fell into a sleep.

I woke up and realised what day it was. I let Cam sleep in and went to make her breakfast and coffee. I made her apples on toast with a side of peanut butter. My hands were shaking so much that I had to put down the plate and take a breather. After a while I felt calm enough to actually go to Cammie, I set down the plate and her coffee on the nightstand and gently sat down next to Cam..
"Cam princess, wake up.. I made you breakfast.."
"Oh you're so sweet.. I love you so much Shannon"
"I love you too baby.. Happy 5 years, and happy birthday little missy"
"Happy 5 years baby"
Cam got up and passionately kissed me. She ate her breakfast and then she brought in our duvet, whilst I carried the projector into the living room. We plugged in the projector and then noticed some stuff on the coffee table. There were two separate piles, one for Cam's birthday and one for our anniversary. They were from Heather, I told Heather I was planning to watch a movie up until our date, so Heather got us a huge basket full of stuff we can eat or drink whilst we're watching the movie. We decided to watch The Fault In Our Stars. A soppy love film. We know it's sad but that doesn't matter to us.. If anything it just makes us value each other even more. I'd be so lost without Cammie. By the time the movie had finished it was already 3pm. I was aiming to get to dinner about 7:30. It's dark by then so we'll be able to sit right under the stars. Although my star will be sitting right in front of me.. Even her eyes are brighter than the stars up above. I told Cam to get ready, she asked how to dress.. I said smart but casual and to make sure she's warm enough. I, like our first date, secretly put pillows and a duvet in the trunk of our car before Cam noticed and then went to get read myself. I was waiting for Cam in the living room.. When she came out I was astonished.. "Camden.. You look.. Woah.. You look absolutely gorgeous"
"Not so bad yourself Lil' Bev!"
We laughed and got in the car. Cammie was so exited for the drive-in movie. She loved them ever since our first date. The movie finished and I drove us to our second location of the night.. I blindfolded Cammie and led her to an elevator.. Once we reached the roof we finally stepped out, and there perfectly set up, was the dinner date under the stars that Cammie had always wanted. There stood Ness, ready to prepare our food and drink.. I took off Cammie's blindfold and on cue Ness spoke, "good evening Miss Scott, I'll be your waiter tonight, please do take a seat under the stars" Cammie smiled and began crying.
"No don't cry princess, you'll ruin the makeup" I laugh and kiss Cam's cheek. I pull out her chair for her and then Ness serves us our food, once we had eaten we ate desert, we had ice cream.. We didn't care that it was freezing cold, I brought extra jackets just in case anyways. "Cam I'll be right back okay baby.." I went through the door and met Heather at the elevator, she gave me the ring and I went back to the table. I, asked Cammie to stand up.. And we danced to the soft sound of the strings I had hired. So Cammie.. This has been a perfect 5 year anniversary for us and I hope a perfect birthday for you?"
She nodded enthusiastically.
"And there's only one way I can think to make this better.." I get down on one knee and her jaw drops..
"Camden Mary Allyse Scott.. I, Shannon Nicole Beveridge, am so in love with you. I love waking up next to you.. I love falling asleep next to you. I love sharing a bed with you, and I love spending time with you. We've had our ups, and our downs, our fights and our laughs, our good times and our bad. But that will never stop me from loving you.. When I met you five years ago, things were so different, the world was so different, and it's changed so much.. My point is.. The world can change its morals, it's options, it's technology, it's ways.. As much as it pleases.. But I will FOREVER remain by your side. I am so in love with you.. So.. Will you please.. Do me the honour of being my wife?"
She had tears streaming down her face..
"Shannon.. I.. I can't.."
My heart drops. I go to stand up when she speaks again.
"I can't believe you did this all for me.. Of course I'll be your wife! I love you"
I feel a relief hit me and I stand up, picking up cam and spinning her around in a circle, kissing her. Once I put her down, I get the ring out of the box and place it on her finger.
"It's so beautiful Shannon.." Cammie cries.
"Not as beautiful as the girl wearing it" I cry back.. She looks me in the eye, smiles and kisses me again.
