Chapter 17!

***CammiesPoV***

Yesterday Shannon proposed to me! It was so unexpected! She'd been throwing me off the scent for months so I thought it was completely off the cards. She was so sweet! She even got Heather and Vanessa to pitch in! I'm so in love with Shannon, and I want nothing more than to marry her, have kids with her, and grow old together. True love never dies, and that's why I'll forever be with Shan. Today Shan and I were just having a lazy day in. Shannon had just gone to pick up Heather from work and they were going grocery shopping together so this gave me some time to plan for Shannon's birthday which was in a couple of days! Time had gone so quick! I know exactly what I want to get her for her main present, but I also want this so its kind of a present for me too. I went on an animal shelter website and went to see what pups they had. Shan and I said if we ever got a dog, it would be from an animal shelter, because those dogs need a shot at life too, more than other dogs really. These guys don't really have a place to call home, and that's why we want to give them one. I kept scrolling and I found none, seemed like this present was going to be harder to get than what I thought it would. I went to a different website to an animal shelter that was just up the road from where we live. Every time we walk past Shan starts whining and moaning that she wants to go look at all the animals, it's so funny to watch but I understand her pain. As I scrolled down and selected the puppy option, the most perfect little doggy popped up first! I instantly clicked on. The pup had just turned 9 weeks old and was ready to leave now. It's injections and stuff had already been paid for. It was a boy and his name was Spud. Hmm.. Spuddy Buddy.. He'll definitely be Shan's bud, I laughed to myself. He was perfect.. I checked the time and it was 12pm. Shan will be out for at least another 2 hours, I texted Heather and made sure she could keep Shannon out so that I can prepare. I rang the animal shelter and asked them if I could see the pup, they said that I had to meet him first to see if he likes me enough, but if he does then we can take him home. I got dressed and walked to the shelter, I walked up to the woman at the front desk and smiled. "Hi, um I called earlier about the English bulldog pup, Spud and I was told to come and visit him.. Would that be okay?"
"Yes ma'am of course, take a seat, we'll get Spud ready and then bring him out to meet you. However before we can do so, I need to ask you a few routine questions, would that be okay?"
"Yeah sure of course."
"Okay, what's your name?"
"Camden Scott"
"Age?"
"25"
"Occupation?"
"YouTuber"
"And do you live alone or with others, Miss Scott?"
"I live with two others also"
"Okay, thank you Miss Scott. Take a seat please."
"Thank you!"
I sat down and then twenty minutes later I got called into a small room. They opened the door and in walked the cutest pup I had ever seen!
"Hey buddy! What's up" I spoke to him in a baby voice. "Aren't you just the cutest thing ever!" He began licking my face over and over. He was perfect. Shan would love him, and he would love Shan. They would be perfect for each other. Shan may even love him more than me I laughed. He sat down on me and I was stroking him.
"So miss Scott, would you like to adopt our Spud?"
"Yeah.. I love him already!"
"Would you like to take him now or at a later point?"
"Um.. Well he's kind of a present for my girlfriend so would I be able to bring her tomorrow as its her birthday tomorrow?"
"Yes of course that would be fine , Miss Scott."
"Thank you, and see you later buddy.."
I left and rushed back home. I quickly got changed and sat in front of the TV, like I had been when I left. About 10 minutes later, Shan and Heather got home. They packed the groceries away and then Shannon came and hugged me.
"So baby, what're you getting me for my birthday?" She asked inquisitively.
"Well you'll find out tomorrow won't you" I winked, she groaned and rolled her eyes.
"Babe, you want McDonald's for dinner today?" She asked.
"Yeah sure, it's 7 now.. Wanna go get it?"
"Yeah okay, you go get changed, and I'll ask Heather if she wants anything."
"Okay baby." And then I went to get changed.

***ShannonsPoV***

I knocked gently on Heather's door, I walked in and she looked up and smiled, "hey heaths, Cam and I are gonna go get some McDonald's for dinner, you want anything?"
"Uh yeah just my usual please Shan"
"Sure, we'll be back in a bit."
"Okay."
I slowly closed Heathers door and right then I felt two arms wrap around my waist and soft lips on my cheek, I leaned back into the embrace and quietly hummed, content with life.
"What's up, my beautiful fiancée?"
I asked Cam.
"Hmmm.. I love it when you call me that.. Fiancée."
She smiled into my neck. I grabbed her hand and we went and got our McDonald's. Half an hour later we arrived back, Heather, Cam and I were now just eating a watching a movie. I did all the dishes and then realised Cam had fallen asleep on the sofa. She was so cute! She looked like a little zombie. My little zombie. I carried Cam to the bedroom bridal style and laid her on the bed. I turned off all the lights in the living room and came back to Cammie, I gently took off her clothes and replaced them with a pair of my PJs. Then I laid in bed next to her. She rolled over and cuddled into me.
"I Love you, fiancée." She whispered.
"I love you too, fiancée.." I whispered back. And with that I fell into a deep sleep. Thinking about my future, with my future wife, and our future life together.
