Chapter Eight
✯
Three Years From Now:
I picked up Enzo's guitar from beside the couch.
He was currently out getting groceries, which actually means he's just stealing more blood-bags from a nearby hospital.
I tried playing the guitar, which I ultimately failed to do, as Enzo walked in, placing two large paper bags on the table.
"Oh, well, now we know why every dog within our vicinity is barking like mad." Enzo smiled, taking a seat next to me.
"You're an ass." I narrowed my eyes as I got up from my spot, picking up a pill from the coffee table, popping it in my mouth before I straddled him. "But a very handsome one at that."
"Well, you're not wrong." Enzo joked, as I leaned forward to kiss him.
My hands found his hair as his found my waist, and he pulled me closer, deepening our kiss.
"What if they find us." I whispered, while his lips trailed along my neck.
"They won't. Those pills restrict them from ever finding you again." he replied, kissing me once again.
I smiled as I went in to kiss him, until he swooped me up, moving my position on the couch so he was ontop of me.
He then lifted his shirt, tossing it to the side as my legs wrapped around his waist, and he tore my shirt off, throwing it behind me.

Present Day:
After waking up, I was greeted by an invitation to Lily's 'Welcome Home Julian' party.
She clearly doesn't know that I'm working with her sons in an evil plot to kill her lover, because if she did, I probably wouldn't have been invited.
Anyhow, I decided to scope out the devils in disguise.
I needed to see if Nora and Mary Louise thought of me as a threat.
The last thing I need is for Lily and her newly resurrected lover, to both think I'm out to get either one of them.
"I know I'm early, but I never was one to arrive fashionably late.." I announced my presence, entering the Salvatore house, taking note of the flowers, decorations, and tables scattered about.
"Cassidy, I'm thrilled you could make it, you look stunning. And you're early." Lily made her way over to me with open arms, widely smiling.
"Like I said. I don't do fashionably late." I shot her a faux smile, brushing past her, scanning the rest of the house. "So, when do I get to meet your forbidden love?"
I rose my eyebrows as I spun around to face her, gripping my clutch in my left hand.
"Oh, well I believe he's in the kitchen with Nora. She's trying to show him how things work in this century. You know, with technology and everything." Lily informed, earning a small nod from me.
"The kitchen it is." I grinned, making my way into the kitchen.
"Perhaps I could talk to Lily, see if I can convince her to loosen her reins a little." an unfamiliar voice piped up from the kitchen, as I listened in from the hallway.
"You would do that?" Nora asked in shock.
"Of course." the unfamiliar voice affirmed, as I swung the door open.
