Chapter Twenty-Five
✯
"Hey, Damon we need a new plan-" I started, walking into Damon's room of the Salvatore house, only to see him sitting beside Bonnie with his hands on her head. "Nevermind. We're screwed."
I sighed as Enzo walked in behind me. "What's he doing?" Enzo questioned,
"I have a bad feeling that I know exactly what he's doing..." I breathed, shooting a look to Enzo before waltzing over to Damon, pointing to him. "He is going to get Bonnie out of her not-so-peaceful slumber."
"And how is he going to do that?" Enzo asked,
"He's gonna do what he does best." I paused, my eyes staring at Damon's figure as his subconscious remained inside Bonnie's head. "He's gonna screw up."
All of a sudden, Damon's eyes opened and he backed away from Bonnie, holding his chest.
"What happened?" I questioned, before he pointed over to Bonnie.
She jolted upright, her eyes shooting open as she stared at the three of us.
"Sorry BonBon. I had to get you to wake up somehow." Damon smirked, letting go of us chest, speeding out of the house, causing my eyes to widen.
"Well, love, I'd say it's time to go." Enzo tugged on my arm, trying to pull me away.
"No. She can't kill me." I growled, taking a step closer to the bed, where Bonnie's eyes remained harsh.
"You don't know that. Let's go." Enzo demanded, furiously grabbing my arm.
"Go. I'll be right behind you." I announced, turning around to look at him. His face fell with wide eyes, before I walked over, giving him a quick peck on the lips. "Go."
He nodded, his eyes finding Bonnie's before he sped out of the house.
"Looks like it's just you and me." I lightly smiled before Bonnie threw the blanket off herself, standing upright beside the bed.
"You should run, Cassidy..." Bonnie taunted, causing my smile to drop. "Don't be stupid."
"I'm not stupid. You can't actually hurt me. You're my best friend. Y- you wouldn't..." I tempted.
"I don't have control over what I do, or which vampires I kill. All I know is that all of my memories have been twisted into hating you, so I suggest you catch up with Enzo, and run." Bonnie bluntly offered.
"I won't heal until you're either dead, or back to your old self. So, I think we're going to have to cook up a deal." I proposed, causing her to shake her head as she grabbed Damon's side table lamp, smashing it on the end of the bed as a makeshift weapon.
"Or I could kill you, and end your suffering early." she mumbled, taking a step closer.
"Alright. Let's do this the hard way." I paused, smirking. "Catch me if you can."
I vamp-sped out of the house, taking off to find Enzo.
✯
After successfully finding Enzo in the woods beside a random, dead, old-man, and giving him some 'i'm okay' kisses, we made our way back to the Salvatore house. Damon was looking out his bedroom window as the rain outside grew heavier.
"Mind if we join you?" I piped up, nodding to the glass of bourbon in his hand, causing him to spin around.
"Help yourself. But this isn't a celebration." Damon monotoned.
"Bonnie's alive. That's all that matters right now." I pointed out, grabbing a glass from the table beside the window, pouring myself a drink. "Aside from the whole..'Cassidy's still dying' thing."
