Dragon Mother (DISCONTINUED)

:Chapter 2:

"You better hurry up Princess, dinner will be soon and you don't want to be late" Linus said as I walked into the Castle.

"I will I just had to see the forest again" I told him. He heard that saying all the time.

"Well, I understand Princess. But please hurry." I nodded and ran to my room and changed into a dining dress. My maid Kaia came in.

"My lady would you like to me comb your hair?" I nodded, "Just something simple for Dinner."

"Of course" she said and got started with combing my reddish-brown hair. I loved the feel of the comb through my long soft hair. In all honesty my hair was the one thing I loved the most about myself.

Kaia was skilled with hair and finished a beautiful yet simple style in quick time, "There you go my Lady, if I may say you should head down to your family."

I rushed down the straightened and walked through the door to our giant dining room. My Father King Soren sat the beginning  of the table right beside him was my mother Queen Celeste. My brothers Prince Jasper and Prince Victor sat beside them. There was an empty seat next to them where I sat. Beside me was my little sister Princess Aisha.

"Ah Azalea wonderful to see you" Jasper stood up and walked over to me.

"Jasper!" I ran and hugged him, "I was so worried about you and Victor! Did you two get any of my letters?" 

He nodded, like me and Aisha we shared more physical features from our mother. Pale skin teal blue eyes and reddish-brown hair. Victor had dark brown hair and more natural skin like our father. 

"Yes we did, it was your letters that helped us get through the tough work in Wessoga."

Father stood up, "Lets all sit down and eat, while we are you boys can tell us about the situation in Wessoga."

"The Wessoga King send his thanks in helping his free people from the collapsed Mine" Victor said, "He also says that if you ever need anything then he is in debt to you and will help."

Father nodded, "This is very good, now if we need anything we can be sure that Wessoga will help us if a crisis shows up. But most of all, I am grateful that you two came back unharmed. I heard many people died in the accident."

Jasper sighed, "Yes many families lost loved ones. Wessoga held a day of mourning while we were there."

"Such a terrible thing, I wonder how Queen Mia must feel, she was a Wessoga woman" Mother said twisting a strain of hair with her finger.

Father straightened, "Speaking of the Royal family, Azalea we have something discuss."

I nodded listening very carefully.

"Drakan and Mia have been looking into finding a wife for their eldest son Wystan Nightwalker. We have been informed that his choices are a Minallia Princess or an Ireeia Princess. So Drakan and Wystan have already visited Ireeia to take a look at King Alfar and Queen Sera's daughter, Princess Brigitta."

"That means that they will be coming to Minallia to see if I am worthy to be Prince Wystan's wife and Queen of Erdona" I finished for him.

He nodded, "Yes Zay."

Zay was a short little pet name for Azalea that he, mother and Jasper sometimes called me by.

"I did have something looking into it," Mother suddenly spoke up. 

"What do you mean Celeste?" Father asked.

"Well secret friends I have in Ireeia told me that Drakan and Wystan were not impressed with Brigitta. They say that she is a little... how do I say it... Brat."

"Oh my" Aisha gasped.

"Oh my indeed" Father agreed, "The last thing Erdona needs is a brat as it's Queen.

He looked at me, "If you became Queen Azalea I'm sure the Kingdom would deeply thrive. And Wystan would have a good wife, you are a perfect choice."

I felt myself beginning to blush, "Prince Wystan might not be into a woman like me."

Mother looked up at me, "Azalea don't do that. You are a beautiful, talented smart woman who has the utmost respect for life. I know you go for walks in the Forest of Ice because you respect it's beauty."

Aisha stood up, "Azalea is very smart. Kylia let her classes end early because she memorized everything about the Kingdoms and even the History of every Kingdom's symbolic Dragon!"

Victor pinched my cheeks, "Yes I have heard that you go to our Castle's Library only to read about Dragons."

"Victor stop that hurts!" I complained and he let go.

Mother giggled, "I once was very fond our the Dragons too Azalea, you obviously get it from me."

I smiled and then looked up at Father, "Your are responsible for any border action and military action from the other Kingdoms. Has there ever been a Dragon sighting while you've been alive?"

Father was silent, I could tell by his brown eyes that he was deep in though. Finally he shook his head, "Not that I can remember. I'm sorry Azalea but I do believe that the Dragons have either fled to another Country or died off."

I tried not to look disappointed, "I understand."

We finished our dinner in silent before Aisha tugged on my dress, "Sis I'm tired."

Mother nodded, "It seems late, Azalea would you help Aisha get into bed?"

I nodded, "Goodnight Mother, Father. And I'm thankful you and Victor made it home safe and unharmed" I said the last part to Jasper. 

He nodded, "Me too."

I then took Aisha's hand and brought her up the stairs to her bedroom, I got her into her nightgown. I brushed out her hair and tucked her into her bed.

"Azalea?"

I looked at her, "Yes Aisha?"

"You will make a great Queen" she kissed my hand. "Will you tell me about the Snow Dragon of our land?"

I smiled loving at her, "Of course... Long ago before our lands became our lands four Dragons settled here. They protected the humans that the Dragons lived with. The Fire Dragon helped Wessoga with mining, Blacksmith and armor. The Water Dragon taught Ireeia how to fish and live by the water in peace with it. The Snow Dragon helped our people of Minallia live in the cold and the Dragon made it an eternal snowfall here. But because of it's magic it also help us make the best fruits and vegetables. Tirani's Dragon, the Thunder Dragon was the most powerful and protected not only it's land but everyone else so Tirani was named the Top Kingdom the protects Erdona and the other land within it."

I looked down and saw that Aisha was asleep.

I kissed her cheek and slipped to my room. I undressed myself and went to bed. One though haunted my sleep.

What did happen to the Dragons?

Ha! Chapter two! I have a great plot story made for Dragon Mother. This since last chapter describe the setting, era and History of Erdona and the Lands. So this chapter kinda sets the beginning of the story and how it's going to go from here. So how did you guys like the chapter? Please give me feedback, I won't be angry if you say it's bad.
