Dragon Mother (DISCONTINUED)

:Chapter 9:

I looked at myself in the mirror and took a deep breath, Gods above give me strength.

Today I was having an audience with King Drakan.

I could not be more nervous, I am sure this is my final test before Wystan makes his choice of me or Brigitta. 

Over the past few days I had come to like Wystan. He was funny, charming, smart and kind. He came to visit Drifa and Edur with me everyday and he even went out of his way to chew up some meat and give it to them.

I heard a knock on my door, "Come in."

It opened and Wystan came in, "Azalea try not to be nervous, my father is a good man and he won't he harsh with you."

I walked up to him, "Really?"

He nodded, "Yes my mother and sister have given you a good name and he is quite impressed with you. I know you'll do fine."

"Thank you Wystan" I smiled.

He lifted my chin with his fingers, "You'll be alright."

"Princess Azalea, It's time" Kylia said walking into my room. 

As she took me away Wystan gave me an encouraging nod before he too walked out of my room.

"You an Prince Wystan seem to be seeing each other a lot Princess" Kylia raised her brow at me and I chuckled, "Well I do enjoy his company."

"Is that all you enjoy?"

"Maybe maybe not."

We laughed and I became silent the moment we reached the doors of our Throne room. I knocked on the door, "Come in." King Drakan's voice sounded strong and full of authority. 

I opened the door and did my best to walk like a proper royal. Each stride took me closer to him and finally I was standing in front of him, Gods above did Wystan ever like like his father. The only thing that would tell each other apart was the scar trailing down from the bottom of his eye to his cheek.

I bowed, "King Drakan."

He stared at me in silence and I could feel the sweat trailing down my face but I continued to keep bowing until he said, "Rise."

I did so and he beckoned me to follow him to a table with two chairs. He sat down the motioned me to sit too. I did so and looked at the map of our country. "So Princess Azalea Stonewild, tell me what you know about our country of Erdona."

Oh this is too easy, I thought grinning deep down.

"Which Kingdom would you like me to start with King Drakan?" I asked.

He looked at the map and then back at me, "Start with your home Minallia."

I pointed to it on the map, "Minallia, second richest Kingdom in Erdona responsible for growing the richest fruits and vegetables in the land. Minallia has been blessed with an Eternal Winter thanks to the Legendary Snow Dragon. If now for it's kindness then are fruits and vegetables would never be as rich as they are now."

I moved on to Wessoga, "Wessoga is the third richest Kingdom in Erdona. They live near many mountains and mines full of different kinds of metal. They mine the metal and make and sell Armour to the other Kingdoms. It was the Fire Dragon that first taught them how to mine and used fire."

"Next is Ireeia, The closest Kingdom to the Ocean. They sell fish and boats for traveling they are also most likely to have shipments of supplies from other Countries come to them. The Ocean next to them is called the Dragon Ocean in honor of the Water Dragon that taught them how to survive and live in harmony with the water.

"Finally is the captial Kingdom of Erdona, Tirani. This is were the King and Queen of Erdona live and they are the ones who keep peace with the other countries as well as make sure everything in Erdona is well. They were the most powerful Kingdom because they had the Thunder Dragon which is to be believed to be the most powerful Dragon of the four the settled here."

I looked up at King Drakan. 

He studied me carefully before he smiled, "I am very impressed, it takes much time to learn all the Kingdoms and... their Dragons. My wife did tell me you and my son shared a common interest in Dragons."

He removed the map of Erdona and put another one on, "This is a map of all our neighboring Countries. I'll tell you about them. Erdona has always been known as the Dragon Clan in a way. But we also have the Countries of Koyria the Leopard Clan, Korthian the Wolf Clan and Normith the Bear Clan. All three of these Countries are known to ride unusual large Leopards, Wolves and Bears into battle. But Erdona doesn't even have a single Dragon left."

"King Drakan what is this Country?" I pointed to another land on the map, "That is unknown and unclaimed land. But one day I'm sure it is to become a Country as well."

"What if a Dragon did come back to Erdona?" I asked.

He looked up at me, his eyes so much like Wystan's. "If one were to... I have lost faith that it will ever happen. Thank you for your time Princess Azalea, you may go now."

I stood up, "Thank you King Drakan" I said and walked to the door of the Throne room, when I opened it I saw Wystan standing outside leaning against the wall.

"Azalea!" His eyes brightened when he saw me.

"You were right Wystan your father was nice. Thank you."

He nodded and held out his hand, "Would you like to see Drifa and Edur?" He whispered making sure no one heard him. 

"Oh yes I need to see them or I'll go crazy" I said taking his hand.

"Good, Mira has been annoying me non-stop to see them and I kept telling her that you decide who can see them."

I laughed, "Well I'll end Mirabai's suffering, let's go."

Chapter 9 is done. Here we meet and see a bit about King Drakan. I also put in a bit more about the Kingdoms and about the outside Countries. Besides that does anyone else think that Azalea and Wystan are cute?
