Dragon Mother (DISCONTINUED)

:Chapter 18:

"When will we be allowed outside?" I asked Wystan.

"Not for a while Azalea" he brushed my cheek with his hand.

"I haven't seen Drifa for days and I'm worried she thinks I abandoned her!" I panicked. 

He placed his hand on mine, "I already went out yesterday and told her what happened. I think she understands."

I couldn't help but worry. We were still stuck in the castle from the attack. The enemy forces moved to Ireeia from Minallia. Survivors from both captured Kingdoms retreated to Wessoga and Tirani tripling their military forces to protect the last two Kingdoms.

"Does your father even know who these outsiders are?"

Wystan shook his head sighing, "No I'm afraid not. We haven't been able to get any kind of information on who there are, what they want or why their here."

I kissed his cheek, this must be so stressful on him. Not knowing anything about the attacking enemy or what to do now. 

"Will they attack Wessoga next?"

He nodded, "It seems so, their forces are already moving towards the borders. But Wessoga is a Kingdom skilled with weaponry and fire, they won't go down easily."

"I'm still so surprised that Minallia did though. The cold, ice and snow are our main defense against attackers" I murmured thinking about how many people's lives were lost in this attack.

"Azalea I promise you as your betrothed and your future King we will push out these invaders and reclaim our Kingdoms" he cupped my face with his hands.

I stared into his beautiful dark brown eyes that seemed endless. They say the eyes are a gate into the mind, and through his eyes I could see truth. He meant what he said about taking back Minallia and Ireeia. 

I closed my own eyes and rested my head on his chest. 

Right now at this moment, I didn't feel like I was stuck in the Castle. I was off in another land only with Wystan. He held me tighter and I smiled. Even with his mucular arms he held me so gently as if I were a tiny baby. 

"I love you Zay" he whispered.

My heart skipped a beat, "I love you too."

For a little while longer we stayed like this, until he moved me so I was laying on the bed, "My father wants me in his room for discussion about battle stragities to defened us. Anson will bring you to the safe room. My mother and the others are there right now."

"Goodbye Wystan."

He kissed my again, "Goodbye Azalea."

He ran out of the room, Anson came in right after, "Ready Princess?"

I sat up and grabbed a few books Wystan brought me, "Yes I'm ready."

He walked me throughout the Castle not saying a word to me, "Are you alright?" I asked breaking the silence.

"Prardon?"

"I asked if you were all right? Your quiet."

He nodded no meeting my gaze, "Yes I'm fine Princess."

He was hiding something. His shoulders were tense, his eyes unfocused and his lips pressed together. Jasper always kept secrets and lies from Mother and Father but after a while I could tell when he was hiding something. He would normally tell me but Anson didn't seem like he wanted to tell anyone.

We reached the safe room. Queen Mia her daughters, my sister and again the maids were here. "Thank you Anson" I said and walked into the room. I could feel Terris's glare on my back but ignored her and went straight to my sister.

Aisha and Alyn always were together now. Hardly separated unless it was for the night. In that case they would meet each other the next morning and be off.

"Azalea could you tell us a story please?" Aisha asked.

"Of course" I said and waited until she and Alyn were seated on either side of me, "What story would you like to hear?"

"Make up one! Aisha tells me that your good at making stories" Alyn begged staring at me with her large green eyes.

I thought for a moment before smiling to myself then I spoke, "Once upon a time in a Kingdom far, far away there lived a young Princess. She was full of beauty and grace and everyone in her Kingdom loved her. But evil men from outside the Kingdom walls wanted the Princess all to themselves so they kidnapped her. Her mother the Queen was devastated that she had lost her daughter and wanted her back. So alone she went to the mountains where a creature was rumored to live. She entered it's den and begged it for anything if only it would bring her daughter home. The Queen however did not know that the creature that lurked in the den was a Prince. The Prince of Dragons. He had the ability to shapeshift into a Dragon then back to human. His request was that he would rescue the Princess if only he could marry her and become the King to their Kingdom since the Princess was King and Queen's only child. She agreed not care what the price was she only cared for her daughter. The Dragon King shifted into an enormous Fire breathing Dragon and within one night he defeated the evil men and rescued the Princess. Since the Queen was a woman of her word the Dragon King and the Princess married and ruled over the Kingdom. Uniting Dragons and humankind together. The End."

Alyn clapped a few times, "That was amazing Princess!"

I smiled, "You two should sleep for a bit now. It's getting dark and I'm sure your tired."

The Safe room doors opened and Queen Mia walked in with King Drakan and Wystan. I hadn't even noticed that she left during my story.

"Is everything alright?" I asked Wystan and he kneeled beside me, "Azalea your Family and the Ireeia royal family are coming to stay in the Castle with us. Wessoga's royal wishes to stay in the Kingdom but they've been doing very well defending it from these invaders. We believe that they'll try coming for Tirani since Wessoga is being so difficult."

I placed my hands over my mouth and looked down at Aisha. She looked just as happy as me, I was going to see my family! They were coming here!

But I also felt a sick feeling in my gut. Tirani might be next for battle.

Hello everyone! Exams are over now and the new semester has started. I have put all my dedication into finishing this book. After this is done I'll finish my Fairy Tail Fanfiction then I have Ideas for a new book or two. I plan to write another Fairy Tail Fanfiction once my first is done then write a whole new Fantasy book. My choices are one called Make A Wish or A Kingdom of Secrets and Lies. That's my plan for a while. Hope you enjoyed this chapter.
