"I'm sure he'll come back" Mira assured me.

I laid flat on my back on my bed, "I should have been keeping a better eye on him. I shouldn't have given all my attention to Drifa. What is he thought I loved her more then him? What if he ran away because he thought I don't love him anymore? What if he doesn't come back?"

"Please Azalea" Mira squeezed my hand, "He'll come back. Your his mother. Or at least his Foster mother. Have faith."

I rolled over on my side and away from her face, it had been four days since Edur disappeared and I was beyond worried now.

"I'll be back later" Mira sighed and left my room. Alyn invited Aisha for a ride around the Kingdom. I ordered Vana to go with them to watch over my sister. Honestly I didn't want to see anyone right now. I wanted Edur. My Dragon son.

Drifa carefully went out to find her brother every other day. But no luck.

I had never been more miserable then I was now. Wystan was giving me the space I needed but I knew he was getting uncomfortable.

I heard a knock on my door.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Azalea? It's Kaian and Flint. Wystan's brothers. May we speak with you?"

Kaian and Flint? I haven't seen them since the first day I arrived here.

I got up and opened my door, they stood proud and tall and gave a little bow to me, "Hello Azalea."

"How may I help you two?"

They shared a smiled and Flint held out his hand, "We never got to meet you personally. So would you like to go for a walk today? We can get to know each other better."

"Oh I love to but I'm feeling a bit lousy today."

"Well you know what they say fresh air helps sickness. Please come Azalea it's such a lovely day and it's actually our day off from our duties."

I huffed, No matter what I said these two would not take no for an answer.

Pushing the door fully open then closing it behind me I finally agreed, "Alright Kaian, Flint."

"Oh please call me Kai."

We walked down the long and turning hallways. This Castle was so big I'm glad I always had an escort or I would get lost in no time.

My heartbeat suddenly quickened when I saw Terris talking to a guard, "Ah hello sister. Anson. How are you today?" Kaian asked them.

"Quite fine Prince Kaian. I was informing Princess Terris that she has been released of her duties today" the guard Anson said.

I decided to try talk with to her, "Your brothers are taking me for a walk, would you like to come Princess Terris?"

Kai, Flint and even Anson frown at me.

Terris's eyes widened in surprise but then she turned her back to me, "I have other important things to do. Thank you however for addressing me by my full title. Please continue to do so."

"A-alright" I stuttered.

She slammed the door in our faces, everyone was silent for a while longer so I decided to speak up, "So where are we going?"

Flint blinked a few times, "Yes right, were going through the royal Garden. A real treat for anyone new to Tirani."

I smiled, "I can't wait to see."

As we turned to leave I felt Kai's hand on my shoulder with the new dresses I wore here since it was warm my shoulders were always bare.

"Does Terris talk to you like that whenever you guys meet? Please be honest."

My head screamed for me to tell the truth but my gut told me lie. Which one do I tell?

"Not really."

"What do you mean not really?"

"Can we get some fresh air now? I'm feeling a little more sick."

Flint seemed to get the drift that I did not want to talk about this anymore.

"Alright Azalea. Come."

We finally got outside. And the sun's warmness bathed my skin. The fresh air actually did make me feel better in a way.

They led me to the glorious Garden behind the Castle. I gasped and covered my mouth with my hands, In Minallia we only got white snow flowers that sparkled and shone when light hit them. But here... here I had never seen such bright and vivid colorful flowers.

Not only flowers but trees as well. Some bore fruit while others showed colors.

A cobblestone path led throughout the Garden over a beautiful stream around tall green hedges and flowers lined up the entire way on the side.

"I'm glad you like it" Kai laughed.

"Like it? I love it! I've never seen a Garden like this before!"

Flint took pride in this complement, "Well it has been voted to be Erdona's Greatest Garden."

I took in the beauty of it while we walked through it.

"Do you believe in love at first sight?" Kai suddenly said.

I frowned, "Love at first sight?"

"In books I've read they always say that fate puts people together. Love at first sight is when two people see each other for the first time. And they know their instantly in love. That loves sticks with them forever. What do you think Azalea?"

I pondered for a moment, "When I saw Wystan, I did think he was very attractive. But it was never love though, that was until we became friends. We told each other secrets, laughed together, and sometimes cried. Friendship turned to love. And now I am glad that he chose me as his wife."

Kai and Flint listened very carefully.

I felt Kai's hand around my shoulder has he pulled me into a side hug, "I am very glad too. Glad that he chose you and glad that you'll be my new sister. I am also glad that he will have a strong and responsible Queen to help him rule over Erdona."

____________

No I did not steal Kai's name from the Lunar Chronicles. It's the first name that popped in my head when I started naming these characters. But I like it. I really like all of these characters names. Sorry I haven't been updating. On Christmas eve I did write chapters but I haven't been able to upload them. But now more should be coming in. I think this book may end around chapter 30 but I'm not quite sure yet.

Bye~
