Dragon Mother (DISCONTINUED)

:Chapter 8:

"Greeting Queen Mia" I bowed to Wystan's mother.

She took a sip of her drink, "Please don't be so formal darling, come and sit."

I did so and looked out at the Ice Forest over the Balcony of our Castle, "I've always admired the beauty of Minallia" she said following my gaze, "Your forests are like something in a dream, sometimes I'm still nervous that this is a dream and I'm still back in Tirani."

"I've lived here so long now that I am quite used to it, but some years we get such beautiful snow and ice. I'm grateful for the Eternal snowfall the Snow Dragon gave us."

She looked at me, "The Snow Dragon?"

I nodded, "Yes your Majesty, I love the myths and legends about the four Dragons that helped create are country of Erdona."

We sat in silence until she laughed, "Oh you and my son share the same passion with Dragons."

I laughed, "Yes I met with Prince Wystan yesterday and he did talk a bit about our knowledge for Dragons."

Queen Mia took a sip of her drink again, "Queen Mia if I may ask without being too rude... is Mia your full name or is it short for another name?"

She set down her cup, "The name my mother gave me was Miabella, but everyone called me Mia for short, when Drakan came to see me and my full name was announced, the first thing he said was 'may I call you Mia?' And I said yes. So when I was named Queen of Erdona I was aloud to keep my short name."

"That's very sweet" I murmured.

She nodded, "Is there any short name for Azalea?"

"Well Queen Mia, my Father and brothers sometimes called me Zay and my mother called baby Zay, besides that it's just Azalea."

"Do you like your brothers?" she asked me

"Of course, Jasper and Victor took time out of their day to play with me when I was little, even now when Jasper is close to being King of Minallia he still has time to talk with me. When I was younger I broke my arm playing, Victor would do my hair everyday and brush it out every night for me."

Queen Mia smiled, "You have a little sister too Aisha is that her name?"

"Yes Aisha seems to be in a way a little like your daughter Mirabai is."

The Queen laughed, "Yes my little Mirabai can be quite excited."

I shook my head, "I honestly like her, I've only ever had one sister, having another makes me quite happy. But yes I love Aisha and my brothers."

"Well Princess Azalea I must say I like you better than that Ireeia Princess."

My laughter died down, "Queen Mia? What is Ireeia like? I've never left Minallia so I am not aware of what the other Kingdoms are like." 

"Well darling, Ireeia is a very marshy and water land. King Alfar has a son named Prince Seneca, he will be a wonderful King one day but in full honesty his daughter Brigitta will never be good for anything unless she smartens up and acts more like a Princess than a Brat."

"Oh" I was really hoping I would never meet Princess Brigitta.

"However Wessoga is such an amazing Kingdom. It's mountains, the smell of fire and it's always warm there. It was a shock to leave it and come to Tirani with Drakan but it was worth it."

"I would love to visit Wessoga one day, my brothers did when one of the mines collapsed."

"Yes..." she trailed off.

"Oh I'm sorry your Majesty!"

She smiled, "No no it's alright" she stood up, "It was very nice getting to talk to you Azalea, I'll see you again soon?"

I nodded, "Of course Queen Mia."

We parted ways and I went to my room to get undressed and into something more comfortable, "Azalea?" I heard Mirabai.

"Come in it's alright" I said and she opened the door, "Are you going to see Drifa and Edur?" She asked.

I nodded, "Yes I'm bringing them some soft chewed meat for them to eat. Would you like to come?"

She nodded, "Hey Mirabai do you and Wystan have any other brothers and sisters?"

She nodded, "Yes it goes Wystan, Kaian, Flint, Me, Terris, Emise, Mallian and Papalyn ."

"Three boys and five girls? Wow King Drakan and Queen Mia have eight children" I said shocked.

"Yep in the order we were born however it's Wystan, Me, Kaian, Terris, Flint, Emise, Mallian and Papalyn."

"So your oldest above everyone except Wystan?" 

She nodded, "Yes if my brother chooses you then you'll come to our Castle in Tirani and meet them all. You'll like my brother Kaian or Kai for short, he's funny. "

"I look forward to meeting him then," I said and headed back to my Dragons in my secret room. Drifa was rolling around on the floor while Edur was sitting in the basket.

"Drifa is very adventurous, the opposite of Edur. He seems timid and shy a lot" I explained to her.

Mirabai nodded, "May I hold Edur?"

I nodded, "Be gentle and talk softly to him."

I watched as Mirabai picked Edur up and cradled him, he let out a purr and closed his eyes.

"Hey Mirabai did they get bigger from the last time you saw them?"

Mirabai looked at Edur then Drifa, "I'm not sure."

I shrugged, I guess I imagined it.

I might be able to get a third chapter out today so I'll see, here we see Queen Mia and learn about the rest of the Nightwalker children. Besides that I don't have much to say so see you in the next chapter.
