Dragon Mother (DISCONTINUED)

:Chapter 4:

I couldn't believe it.

Laying right here in front of me was the legendary Dragon. A snow Dragon to be exact, Minallia's sacred dragon.

Aisha clung on to me, "It's alive."

The Dragon looked at us through it's Ice blue eyes, it blinked a couple of times before raising it's head to get a better look.

I got Aisha and Vana behind me, "Don't make any sudden movements, just stay calm and quiet."

It moved it's head closer to me, sweat dripped down my face and my heart pounded with fear, would it kill me?

But it simply just sniffed me, then I suddenly heard a voice in my head.

'Human girl'

I gasped.

It sound like a woman's voice but deeper and more rough.

'Don't look so surprise, you act like you have never seen a Dragon before'

I stared at it, this Dragon was speaking to me inside my head?

"Azalea what's wrong?" Aisha whimpered.

"This Dragon is speaking to me in my head" I said.

'Azalea? Quite a royal name' she said.

I tried talking back to her through my head as well, 'Yes I am a royal. I'm Princess Azalea Stonewild of Minallia'

Minallia? I'm in Minallia?

'Yes' I said and it's body gave a great shudder.

'Oh I have come home to the birthplace of my ancestors! This is the place I want to be... This is a perfect place for me to pass'

I froze "What?"

Aisha and Vana looked at me strangely, "Azalea I don't here anything."

I ignored her, 'What do you mean?'

The dragon laid it's head down, 'We female Dragons pass when we give birth to our eggs. It is the way of our kind'

'Eggs?'

I frowned but then she moved her tail and in her nest were two white scale eggs.

'Come here girl' she ordered.

I jumped at the roughness in her voice and did so moving closer to the giant creature, the dragon moved her eggs towards me, 'We Dragons are dying off faster than we imagined, I wanted to see more of this world but I now know I cannot. But my offspring can' 

'What do you mean?' I asked.

The Dragon's eyes started drooping, 'Girl my time has come, I am passing... please save my babies'  her hand-like claws grabbed a hold of my tiny arm and a searing pain burned. I screamed and she let go. 

"Azalea!" Aisha ran to me. Vana raised my arm, a strange tattoo was burned into my skin.  

'Now I can pass know that my babies will live...' she closed her eyes and did not move again.

We sat there for the longest time, watching, waiting for it to move again, but it did not. 

"I-is it dead?" Vana asked.

"She said something about dragons dying when they give birth" I said shaken. My arm still burned and throb with pain.

Aisha and Vana shared a look, "Princess... we couldn't hear anything. All you did was stare at the dragon."

I frowned then my gaze fell on the two dragon eggs, without thinking much I walked over and picked up the two eggs. They were slightly bigger than melons, I noticed that the burning stopped when I picked them up. 

"We need to get them home" I said.

"How?" Vana asked, "And what do we do with them. Two Dragon eggs, the king will most likely want them."

"No!" I shouted and she shrank away.

"F-forgive me princess."

I sighed, "No I'm sorry, but we need to get these eggs back to our Castle."

"Here Azalea, put one in here" Aisha gave me her bag. Very gently I placed the larger one inside. But I wanted to keep the smaller one with me.

I swung it over my shoulder.

Quickly we headed out of the forest and we bypassed the town to avoid and confrontation with anyone. "Azalea slow down!" Aisha panted trying to keep up with me.

"We need to get these to my room! Come on!" I ordered and walked quicker.

"Watch out!"

I slipped on ice and fell. My bag hit the snow with a hard thud. Nirvana gasped and ran over to the egg I looked up and saw the smaller egg in the air falling.

"No!"

I reached for it but slipped again and fell face first on the ice.

"The egg!" I screamed.

And Chapter 4 is done. We meet the Dragon, much more on the Dragon's behavior will be  Cliffhanger! What do you think happened to the smaller egg? Did it hit the ground or did someone catch it? Find out in the next chapter! I can put all my focus on this book now. Because The Hybrid and the Healer is officially done now. I took a long time but it's done, but you haven't seen the last of everyone. There will be a bonus chapter sometime in the future for THATH (The Hybrid and the Healer).
