Thomas' (dad's) P.O.V.

We were all having breakfast and then the one thing my dad warned me about happened. I saw that my daughter was in serious pain and grabbed for her chest. I knew why she was in pain and we had to do something before Liam sees it. Jessica and I rushed over to her but when we tried to lift her up she screamed: "Aah!!! Do something goddamn it, I'm dying!" 'It can't be... Is it already happening today?' I look at Jessica and she nods. She rushes over to Liam and Luna's dog Shadow and takes them upstairs. And when I think it is going to happen I see that Luna has blacked out. I sigh of relief. 'I'm glad it didn't happen today, she isn't ready... Yet...' I pick Luna up. I can feel that her heart is still beating very fast, but it's slowing down. I walk up the stairs and I can hear Jessica rushing downstairs. "How is Luna? Did she... transform?" "No... Fortunately not. But she's still in pain, so I am taking her upstairs to her room." Jessica sighs of relief. "Yes, she needs sleep, I bet she's very exhausted... Also, I think it's for the best that she stays home from school today. I will call them right away." "Yeah, you do that, then I will bring her upstairs."

When I open her bedroom door I see Shadow lying on her bed. He looks up when he hears me, but when he sees Luna he immediately starts whining. I lay Luna down on her bed. She's breathing slowly and I think she's not gonna wake up for a while...'Maybe I should call Dylan, he had his transformation not too long ago...' "Shadow, can you take care of Luna for me?" In response, Shadow jumps on her bed and lies beside her. I give them a last glimpse before I walk out of her room. 'She will be fine, Shadow's with her'.

Luna's P.O.V.

I wake up. It seems I am lying on the ground. 'Am I in my bedroom, am I at home? It doesn't smell like it... Wait a second, it smells like smoke... Is this...' I get to my feet and see the scenery before me... It's the forest where the meteor strike was back in Minnesota when I was 7. I walk to the crater of the meteor, it's amazing! I never had the chance to take a real good look at it, because the military had closed off the whole place for civilians. I walk around the meteor and take a good look. And then I see some weird glowing thing stuck inside the meteor. I touch it and then it disappears. 'Huh, that's odd.'

Suddenly I hear something in the remaining bushes. I jerk around and see a boy from around my age staring at me. "Umm, can I help you?" I ask. "Yes, I think, no I know you can help us". "Us?" Suddenly there appeared two other people from behind the boy: a girl from around Liam's age and another boy a little older than me. "We finally got a chance to connect with you". "I'm sorry but what are you talking about?" "We tried so many times to get in touch with you, but we were blocked by your dreams, or should I say nightmares. But don't worry it's normal." "Wait, wait, wait a second. I have literally no idea what you're talking about. Explain!" The boy sighs. "We could've known you wouldn't understand it. There's not much time to explain, but we can show you. And one last thing, you will understand why this happened once it begins..." With that the two boys and the girl disappear. Then the whole scenery changes and I am no longer in Minnesota.

I can see military vehicles driving to a huge facility guarded by armed soldiers. It seems like there is something very valuable behind those closed doors... The vehicles stop in front of a big door and two soldiers step out of the car and walk to the back of it. They open the doors and then I see the two boys and the girl from earlier with handcuffs. The boy looks around and sees me I look back at him in shock. He is then roughly pushed forward into the building. I float down into the building and follow the group further inside. They stop before another door with an eye scanner. Then they proceed further inside. There are 3 more doors before the horror starts, they walk past what seems like prisons and inside those prisons are all children of around my age older and younger. And they don't look so good, it looks like they've been tortured.

The girl from before begins to cry and even the two boys look afraid. The soldier grabs the girl harshly and hisses: "Stop crying or we start with YOU!" The oldest boy who seems to be her brother shouts: "You can't tell her what to do, SO LEAVE HER ALONE!" The boy runs to the soldier and throws himself on top of him. The soldier can resist him pretty easily and shrugs the boy off of him. "Hmm... You really are trying to stop me, maybe we actually have to start with you!" The soldier grabs the oldest one and takes him away. "Jack, nooo! Jack come back!" the little girl screams. "Sofia you can't do anything... We just have to hope, he comes back." "But Shadow..." "Alright, it's time to take you to your prison. KEEP MOVING!" The soldier points the gun at them and they walk further until they come to their prison. A guard opens the heavy metal door and the soldier throws them inside.

I float inside with them. The door is closed and Shadow turns on the small light. The girl sinks to her knees and starts to cry. "They're gonna kill him! I will never see my brother ever again..." Shadow walks over to her. "Hey Sofia, cheer up. You know that Jack is a fighter. He won't give up that easily. Right Sofia?" "Yes, you're right! He will fight for me." Shadow looks up to me. "Now do you understand we need help? Everyone in here are your brothers and sisters. You have to help us... It is possible they are going to turn us into weapons. But I prefer to call it monsters, their minions who will mindlessly kill everyone who tries to stop them. Shadow looks away. "B-but Shadow I don't even know where you are. I really want to help you but even if I could I..."

I'm interrupted by a loud hissing just outside the door. Shadow and Sofia look up in horror. "Sister..." he says. I take a look outside, but what I saw there, I totally did not expect. What I saw was a 7 or 8 feet tall creature being dragged out of its prison. It wanted to run away and was angry and in pain because the soldiers were giving it electric shocks. I wanted to help it so badly but I didn't know what to do.

The creature hisses but now a whole lot louder. And suddenly I could hear hissing and screeching everywhere else on this floor, the scraping of claws along the metal doors. Even behind the door where Shadow and Sofia are. 'No it can't be...' It was like all those children wanted to help it... I continued watching the scene. The creature was still not giving up but neither were the soldiers. At one point the creature began to whip with its tail and killed one of the soldiers in the process. That's when one of the soldiers decided that it was enough. He pulled a little box out of his pocket and threw it at the creature. But just as the creature had freed itself the box hit its head. The creature fell unconscious to the ground and then I saw the most unthinkable it turned into a girl, with blood marks and scars all over her body. The soldiers pick her up and take her away.

'No... sister...'

The image fades out until I can no longer see anything.

Eventually I wake up and look around. I am in my bedroom again and this time it wasn't a dream. I saw my parents rushing over to me and Shadow began licking my face. I felt a hand on my arm I looked to the side: it was Dylan, my closest friend.

"Honey, thank goodness you're finally awake! You were asleep for three days." 'Three days? What the hell is she talking about? It felt like only two hours or something...' "Dear just let her be, my father stated. "So Luna, how are you feeling? Do you remember what happened three days ago?" "N-no I don't. W-what happened?" There was a pause before my father answered: "You walked downstairs and tripped and you bumped your head real hard on the ground, then you blacked out". "Oh..." "What is it honey?" my mum asks. It's nothing, I just feel a little nauseous and where is Liam?" "Liam is asleep." "Oh, that's good, but can you please leave me alone with Shadow?" "Of course dear, come on let's go."

Dylan gives me a small smile and squeezes my hand a little. I smile back but then turn my head around. I hear the door close and then turn my attention to Shadow. I give him a big hug and then the tears are welling up. "I saw her Shadow, I could see in how much pain she was and I couldn't do anything!" Shadow whines a little. I stroke his back and he immediately calms down.

'I know I have to help them, but I am not like them. But still, Shadow (the boy) needs my help. Don't worry Shadow I will find a way to safe you and then those people will pay for what they did...'
