3rd Person P.O.V.
Back in Portland at Luna's house, the family was still shaken up by what happened only two hours ago. They tried to act as if nothing had happened but that wasn't easy.
Luna's mother couldn't stop crying from the moment Dylan had left, her father had locked himself in his room and Liam had gone for a walk with Shadow. And even her dog was in pain.
Jessica was cleaning all the mess in the living and dining room. Usually, it would help her forget everything around her but now she just couldn't. She started crying again and fell to the floor. "My poor girl! I am so sorry I couldn't protect you!" She didn't realise that Thomas had come downstairs and even he couldn't hold back his tears at what he was seeing. "Jessica..." he softly said. She looked up at him with her red eyes. Thomas sat beside her on the ground. "Come here.." She immediately gave back the hug. "Oh Thomas, I was so stupid! I should've just told her, then she wouldn't have run off. But know she is gone and hates me! I failed as a mother!" She cried in his arms. "Darling, you haven't failed as a mother. We just made a mistake." He tried to comfort her. "But we could have prevented this from happening!" "No, you know that her turning into a Xeno couldn't have been prevented." "*sigh* I... know that, but we.." "Love, please stop it. You have to accept that this happened and move on. Of course, you should be worried about Luna, but you still have another child to care for. Liam needs you too as much as Luna needs you." She looked up at him. "And don't forget about Dylan. I know he won't stop searching until he has found her. You have to believe in him." She bit her lip and slowly nodded still with tears in her eyes. He wiped her tears away "Please darling, you have to be strong. Do it for Luna." Thomas slowly stood up with his wife still in his arms.
They stayed like this for a few minutes. "Jessica, listen to me." She looked up at him. "Luna is in good hands, I know she is." She nodded "All right." Thomas kissed her forehead. But their peaceful moment got soon interrupted by their son Liam, who stood in the doorway with his sister's dog Shadow. "Oh hello, Liam! Did you have a good walk dear?" Liam's mother said cheerfully. But Liam, on the other hand, wasn't cheerful at all neither was Shadow. His parents looked concerned at him. Suddenly two men dressed in black and white stepped in front of Liam.
"Good afternoon Mr. and Ms. Roberts. My name is William and this is my colleague Jackson. We would like to ask you a few questions." the man in white with glasses stated. Jessica and Thomas both stood up and Thomas was the first to speak. "Questions about what?" "We will get to that in a minute, but I think it is for the best that your son doesn't hear it. So if you don't mind..." "Oh yes of course!" Jessica said. "Liam darling, please go upstairs for a little while and take Shadow with you." Jackson -the man in black- flinched when he heard the name Shadow. He knew who that was and after hearing its name, his suspicions only grew. He shared glances with his partner and they both nodded. "Yes mum." Liam said. He walked over to the kitchen, grabbed some food for himself and for Shadow and then ran up the stairs. After hearing the door of his room slam shut, the two men turned to Luna's parents.
"Now then, we would like you to ask a few questions about your daughter. Luna." Jessica's face grew pale and Thomas' face into a frown. "Yes, what about her?" he said rather angry. "Where is she now?" Jackson asked. "Currently she is staying with a friend. We had a bit of a fight and then she ran off. At least that's what our son told us. But we don't know which one." "Aha, I see. Well when you hear from her again, tell her we urgently need to talk with her" Jackson said. "Yes, I will." Thomas lied. This time it was Williams turn to talk. "We came because we got a call from your neighbours. 'Damn traitors' Thomas thought. "They told us they heard screaming and stuff breaking. They wanted to go to your house to ask if everything was alright, but before they could they saw something black jumping out of the window and running off at an inhuman speed. Can you explain this?"
