Luna's P.O.V.

I woke up in a room that I am not familiar with, just as it was in my dream. This immediately had me on edge and made me shoot straight up. Like in my dream it was dark and I couldn't see a damn thing.

"So you are finally awake. That's a relief." I recognised the voice but I still couldn't see. "Yes, but why can't I see anything?" I heard shuffling coming towards me and I shifted a little in what I presumed to be a bed. "Luna, calm down... You don't have to be afraid. You're safe here." This time I heard a different voice. Was it a woman's?

Suddenly I felt fingers come around both sides of my head and I flinched. "Don't touch me!" "Wow, Luna calm down! It's me, Luna, it's me Jacob." I felt my heartbeat slow down. Jacob loosened -what I presumed- a blindfold and the bright light immediately hit me in the face, almost blinding me again. I blocked my eyes with my hand and slowly they adjusted to the light in the room. When I took my hand away I looked right in Jacob's face. I backed away from the closeness of his face and looked to the other side.

"Are you feeling okay, Luna?" he asked. I nodded still feeling a little uncomfortable. I saw a wave of relief on his face and said: "That's good". I slowly looked away from his face and around the room. There in the far corner of the small room, I saw a woman with long light brown hair sitting in a chair working on something. Jacob followed my line of vision and called out to the woman. "Perhaps it is useful to first introduce yourself before you continue with your work".

"Alrighty." The woman stood up and walked in my direction. She somewhat resembled Jacob. "Hi, Luna! My name is Suzan, a medic here at the base and Jacob's niece" she said while ruffling Jacob's hair. "Don't" Jacob said waving her hand away with a small blush on his face. I smiled too.

There was a brief moment of silence between the three of us before Suzan focused her attention on me. "Luna, I know you just woke up from your coma, but before I can let you explore this base with my cousin, I first want to run a few tests on you". My heart rate slowly increased. "Ehm, sorry but what kind of tests?" I asked afraid of what she would answer. "Oh, it's nothing much, but since you've been out for quite a while I need to make sure your body is doing well. So, therefore, I need to run some scans and take some blood to-" "What do you mean by taking my blood?!" I answered raising my voice.

Jacob and Suzan looked at me with surprised faces. "Relax Luna it's just to make sure you don't have any possible diseases and to ensure the safety of everyone here at the base" Jacob explained but I didn't trust them one bit. "No, no! You're going to take my blood and do experiments on me and then when I don't resist you anymore you're gonna make me do things I will regret!"I took a deep breath and continued. "You are going to turn me into a monster!"

Both Suzan and Jacob were shocked and didn't know what to say. For a moment only my breathing could be heard before Suzan spoke up again. "Interesting, very... interesting". I looked at her with fear evident in my eyes. Jacob looked from his niece to me and came closer to me while stretching out his hand toward my face. Fear overtook me completely and I slapped his hand harshly away. Suzan and Jacob backed away from me and stared at me as I violently shook the covers off me and tried to get out of bed. Jacob ran to my side and tried to hold me in bed, but I didn't want that. 'I need to get out of here!' "Get out of my way!" I screamed. I punched Jacob so hard in the stomach that he was sent flying into the nearest wall while coughing blood. I got out of bed and run to the door. 'Freedom...' But before I could even reach the doorknob, someone pinned me to the ground.

Suzan was that person. I looked at her with wide and angry eyes, but she only looked back at me with an emotionless expression. "Luna... Why are you afraid?" she said in the calmest tone... it was almost soothing. "I don't trust you guys at all". "Hmm, oh really. And why is that?" she asked, no emotion evident in her voice but still, I didn't know how to answer that question. "I don't know". "Hmm, I see but, why did you punch Jacob then?" she asked a smirk plastered onto her face. She knew that I couldn't answer the question. "I just don't know okay!"
