A/N TRIGGER WARNING.

The picture above is Lacey (Played by Emily Rudd). In this chapter you find out who she is. This chapter was not based from anything true, it has been made up but I apologise if anything written in this chapter upsets or offends anyone.

♢ Rachel ♢

"You've got some explaining to do." I was still fucked off with him. I needed to know why he did it. We had met up in the woods where he took me for our midnight picnic. I leaned against a nearby tree whilst Matt wouldn't stop pacing up and down in front of me.

He gave me the guiltiest look ever. "I'm so sorry Rachel." He sighed. "Slap me, dump me, do whatever, because I deserve it." Matt held up his hands in surrender.

"No." I didn't want things to end this way. "I'm not going to spend the rest of my summer with you moping around because you made a mistake and I dumped you for it."

"You aren't?" He looked up at me, his eyes looking a little brighter than before.

"No. You have an alcohol problem don't you?" I asked the obvious question. He nodded slowly. "Any particular reason?" I pressed him for more answers.

He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and then looked at me, his eyes were welling up with tears. "Would you be fucked off if I said I couldn't actually tell you why?"

"Um, I don't know, it depends on how serious the reason is." I tried to bargain with him.

"Well, serious enough that something really fucking shit happened not so long ago and my only way of coping with it is to get so drunk I can't remember anything. I'm usually at a party when it happens and I'm with a girl and bing bang bong, I wake up starkers with her the next morning."

"Oh." was all I could say, part of me felt guilty, but I knew he had still made a huge mistake.

"Look, I can't tell you how sorry I am for it, I did it here and mentally hurt your best friend. You don't have to forgive me." He was beginning to loose hope in me again.

"I'm going to forgive you. From what you've told me, you've got some shit to sort out. But, i'm not going to leave you any time soon. We've only just started seeing each other and if anything, I would rather help you get out of this mess instead of leaving you to deal with it on your own."

"I'm sorry I hung up on you the other day" I said down the phone to Eliza whilst playing with the ends of my hair. Everyone had gone to lunch but I stayed In the cabin as I wasn't hungry.
"You should be!" Eliza replied with a laugh. "What made you hang up on me anyway?" She asked.
"Well, um. The girls just crept up on me that's all." I lied.
"Fair enough, just don't do it again little sis."
"I won't, I promise. I've got to go now, my next activity is in ten minutes."
"Good! Okay my dear, I'll speak to you in a few days! Bye!" Eliza beamed down the phone
"Laters!" I smiled and ended the call. I wish I told her about Ryan. I seriously haven't had an appetite for the last few days because of him. To distract myself I got ready for our afternoon activity, which unfortunately, was paintballing. I'm such a wimp when it comes to activities like this, I was covered in bruises last year because I was rubbish at hiding and the other team ganged up on me.

I gave in and exited the cabin, making my way to the woodland near the lake where we played capture the flag on the first night. My heart skipped a beat as I had a mental flashback of when I first knew Ryan was here. I shook my head to myself, don't put all your eggs in one basket Laura!
