I guess even Kakashi is scared of something...

It started out as your average mission. Minato separated them, determinded for the boys to stop fighting. But something goes terribly wrong when they found a strong Genjutsu user.

They were tall and thin, the only skin showing was their feet. Black gloves covered their hands, and a mask covered their entire face.

"It looks like I'm met with just a bunch of kids. This should be fun." The person said, making it difficult to tell the gender.

Kakashi narrowed his eyes and charged ahead, moving to take off the mask. Obito charged after him, not wanting the silver haired boy to get all the glory of winning.

Kakashi swung his sword only for it to be blocked. Obito was kicked away as he tried to find an opening.

"Fire style: Fireball Jutsu!" He put his fingers to his lips and blew, fire coming out.

Kakashi jumped out of the way, watching as the flames died down. The first thing he noticed was the mask was gone. Second thing he noticed, he was changing. He watched it closely and his heart sank below his feet as he recognized the form.

"No!" Kakashi yelled as he began to hear those familiar words. He covered his ears and shut his eyes as tightly as he could.

Obito had no clue what was going on. But when Kakashi dropped his sword, Obito rushed towards him. He turned around and saw the man was doing something. And he looked all to happy.

"Hey, Kakashi." Obito said softly and put a hand on his team mates back.

"NO!"

Obito stepped back in surprise. That wasn't a time he had ever heard out of Kakashi. It was fear, terror almost.

"What are you doing to him?" Obito demanded, holding a kunai towards the man.

"Just showing him a genjutsu. You know, the simple stuff like his worst fears. From what it looks like, he's truely scared of them." The man looked at Kakashi. "He can barely stand."

Obito looked back at Kakashi and put an arm around him. Kakashi fell into him and shied up against him, gripping his shirt in a way that made it seen it he let go Obito would be gone.

This was something Obito had never seen before. He knew that Kakashi was younger then him (not by much, at least six months), even if he didn't act like it. But now Kakashi truely looked like a frightened child.

Obito put a hand on his back and rubbed small circles. This is what his grandmother used to do when he was crying or scared of something. He watched the man out of the corner of his eye, as hard as that was, but he did.

The man was frowning in disapproval. Was the jutsu being broken? Obito looked down at Kakashi to see his breathing was returning back to normal, and his grip loosened only a little bit.

"O-Obi-to?" Kakashi said softly.

"Yeah?" Obito said.

"D-don't leave." The silver haired boy breathed.

"I won't." Obito promised.

Then the man yelled in anger. "He broke free! I'll kill both of you!" He pulled out two shuriken and threw them. Anger issues much?

Obito's eyes widened as Kakashi didn't move. "Come on!" Then he saw Kakashi's face. "Don't be asleep now!"

Obito watched the two shuriken suddenly get knocked aside and onto the ground. "Ah!"

"Obito!"

Obito looked towards the voice. "Rin! Minato-sensei!"

"Are we to late?" Rin asked as she ran towards them. "What happened to Kakashi!?"
