The Disaster of Kalos (An Ending to Pokemon XYZ)

Part Four

Malva walked into the room where Lysandre was watching Mairin, Alain, and Chespie.

"Have you told them yet?" Malva asked, lowering her sunglasses.

"No. Not yet," Lysandre replied. "We need to research the bond between that boy and his Greninja. I need to see if it's stronger than Mega Evolution. If it is, than it explains why he was able to beat Alain."

"Speaking of your guests, where are they now?" Malva asked.

"They are getting their Pokemon healed, they will be here soon," Lysandre replied.

Malva nodded, and began to leave.

"Wait, you interviewed the boy, am I correct?" Lysandre stopped her.

"Yes, why do you want to know?" Malva responded, turning to face Lysandre.

"Did it seem like he had potential to beat the Kalos League?"

"Yes, he did. But that's not all."

"Oh?"

"My camera crew acted strange around that boy and his friends."

"How so?"

"When I went up to them, they hesitated to follow me." Malva folded her arms and knotted her brows. "And when it was announced that he won, they nodded to each other, said something about 'he's as strong as ever', than left me in the dust."

"Maybe they have some connection with the boy. I want you to find them and follow them. Find out their connection with the boy. It might help us."

"Yes, sir."

"Jessie, how much farther before we can take a break?" James whined to his partner as they were walking through the woods. "It's almost dark."

"We'll stop when I say so," Jessie replied, huffing. "We need to keep an eye on that twerp. This is the first time ever that he won a League."

"Yeah, about time," Meowth replied, folding his arms.

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet agreed.

"Do you even know where the twerps are?" James asked, pushing his blue hair back.

"Nope. Not one clue," Jessie replied, getting a sigh from everyone else.

A small beep was soon heard from James' pocket grabbing their attention. James took out his holocaster that their boss gave them and turned it on. Giovanni soon appeared, not looking happy.

"Boss!" Jessie, James, and Meowth exclaimed in surprise.

"Where are you three idiots?!?" GIovanni angrily asked. "I just sent a helicopter to pick you up."

"What? Why?" Jessie asked.

"We're going to need back-up," Giovanni replied. "We're going against Team Flare."

"Those sunglasses-wearing freaks," Jessie and James growled. 

"Where is the helicopter?" Meowth asked.

"Lumiose City," Giovanni replied. "Near Prism Tower. I'll see you there."

Giovanni signed off, and trio looked at each other.

"The twerp will have to wait until later," Jessie remarked.

"Right. Team Flare is our first priority," James agreed.

"Let's go then," Meowth said.

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said.

Back in Lumiose City, Ash and his friends were just stepping out of the Pokemon Center.

"Lysandre said that he wanted us back at his lab right after we finished healing up our Pokemon," Clemont reminded everyone.

"Yeah," Ash replied. "Let's get going."

"Pika!" Pikachu pointed.

"Was is it, buddy?" Ash asked his partner.

"Hey, isn't that Team Rocket?" Bonnie asked pointing.

The group looked to where she was pointing. It was indeed Team Rocket, and they were running toward Prism Tower, grim expressions on their faces.

"They look very angry," Serena commented.

"Yeah, I've never seen them like that before," Ash commented. "Something must be going on."

"Believe it or not, I'm kind of worried about them," Clemont said.

"Then let's follow them!" Bonnie remarked, starting to run after Team Rocket.

"Hey, wait for us!" Ash said as they ran after Bonnie.

They chased Team Rocket until they arrived at Prism Tower. There was a helicopter there, and a man stood next to it, his arms behind his back. Ash and his friends hid in the shadows as they watched Team Rocket approach the man.

"Giovanni, sir," they said, saluting. "We have arrived."

"I can see that," Giovanni said sternly. "Hurry up into the helicopter now. We're going back to Headquaters to figure out how to get rid of Team Flare."

"Yes, sir!" the trio replied, and climbed into the helicopter.

Giovanni climbed in after them, and the helicopter took off.

"So Team Rocket is against Team Flare too?" Serena asked.

"That means..." Clemont began.

"That Team Rocket might actually be good people," Ash finished.
