The Disaster of Kalos (An Ending to Pokemon XYZ)

Part Fourteen

Ash practically dragged Serena through the hallways of Prism Tower trying to find their way out. All around them the building was beginning to collapse, making them panic. As they rounded a corner, they ran into Tierno, Sawyer, Steven, and Diantha.

"Guys!" they all cried out at the same time. "You're okay!"

The building shook even harder, causing all of them to fall to the floor. 

"We need to get out of here!" Ash cried out, helping Serena stand up.

"What about the others?" Serena asked worriedly.

"They will meet us outside," Steven reassured her. "We must leave."

Steven ran towards the exit, the others following. Suddenly, just as Steven, Diantha, Tierno, and Sawyer ran through a doorway, giant pieces of rubble fell. Ash pulled Serena back and hugged her protectively as the rubble blocked the doorway. Dust sprouted up, causing both of them to cough as Ash slowly let Serena go.

"You okay?" Ash asked.

"Y-Yeah," Serena coughed one more time.

"Ash! Serena!" Diantha's voice came from the other side of the rubble. "Are you two okay?"

"Yeah!" Serena called back. "We'll try to find another way out." 

"Okay, meet us outside!" Diantha replied.

Soon, Ash and Serena heard retreating footsteps from the other side of the rubble. Looking at each other, the two took off down the hallway. The building had stop shaking for the moment, making it easier for them to run. Ash led the way, weaving through hallways, Serena at his heels. A while later, they finally came by a door, and Ash tried to open it.

"It's locked," Ash said, worry in his voice. He turned to his shoulder. "Pikachu, can you use Iron tail?"

Pikachu, who had been silent this entire time, nodded at Ash, and used Iron Tail. The door crumpled until it fell inward, showing the demolished Lumiose City. Sighing in relief, Ash stepped over the rubble, helping Serena do the same. They ran to the front of the building where they saw Steven, Diantha, Tierno, and Sawyer waiting for them. When they mad their way over to the others, the others sighed in relief.

"Where are the others?" Ash asked worriedly. 

"We don't know," Sawyer replied. "They should be here soon hopefully."

"We should go in after them," Tierno said, trying to move forward.

"No," Steven said, stopping Tienro. "It's too dangerous. We just have to wait."

Everyone looked at him, then back at Prism Tower, worry shining in their eyes.

James walked by Jessie's side as they made their way down the hallway they were in. Neither of them had said a word as they searched for the exit. There were small tremors that occasionally happened, but they just ignored them.

"How much longer until we get out of here?" James finally asked, breaking the silence.

"I don't know," Jessie sighed. "Let's just hope it's soon."

Suddenly, a huge tremor shook the building, causing Jessie to fall backwards. James caught her before she hit the ground, and the tremor stopped just as soon as it ended.

"I don't think this building can hold much longer," James stated worriedly as he helped Jessie regain her balance. "We need to get out of here."

Before Jessie could say anything, James grabbed her hand, and dragged her through the hallways and finally out of the exit.
