The Disaster of Kalos (An Ending to Pokemon XYZ)

Part Eleven

Look at me! I'm not dead! *starts dancing* Sorry it took a while for this part, but here it is!

Lysandre paced his office, and angry but thoughtful look on his face. Xeorsic stood by his side, angrily watching the two Zygardes continue to destroy Lumiose City. However, the destruction had come to a complete stop due to the gym leaders and Alexa. 

"Xeorsic, I want you to take a few members with you back to the Prism Tower to make sure that the gym leaders don't destroy it," Lysandre finally said, turning to leave. 

Xeorsic nodded, and soon left. Lysandre began walking down the hallway, ignoring any team member who tried to talk to him, or even wave at him. After a while, no one spoke to him, and he approached the nursing room where Chespie was once held. He grabbed one of the chairs, his knuckles turning white as he clenched his teeth. He thought that he could have trusted Alain. He thought that he could have  even trusted Malva. Pain shone in his eyes as he remembered what he saw. Alain had called him a monster. Malva went behind his back and freed an enemy team. He wasn't a monster. He was doing the right thing. Wasn't he? 

Sighing, Lysandre let go of the chair, and began to make his way back towards his office. He was doing the right thing. He kept telling himself this over and over again as he looked out the window at the destruction of the city.

I'm doing the right thing. I'm doing the right thing. I'm...

Unsteadily, the two helicopters landed side by side just a few feet away from the Prism Tower. Everyone poured out of the helicopters and looked around the destruction. 

"We need to stop this," Malva said, breaking the silence. 

Clemont perked up suddenly, and, without alerting anyone else, took off running towards his home.

"Clemont!" Bonnie screamed worriedly. "Where are you going?!?" 

"I need to check on dad and Clembot!" Clemont yelled back.

"We need to split up," Steven suddenly said. "Bonnie, Malva, Prof. Sycamore, Shauna, Trevor, and Meowth, can you follow after Clemont?"

The six in question nodded, Meowth giving Jessie and James a little wave, and ran after Clemont. Steven turned to the others. 

"The rest of you, follow me," Steven stated, running towards Prism Tower, the others following him.

Clemont, Bonnie, Malva, Prof. Sycamore, Shauna, Trevor, and Meowth approached Clemont and Bonnie's house to see multiple vines creeping out of the house. Worried, Clemont and Bonnie began to pound on the door. 

"DAD?!?" Clemont shouted.

"DADDY?!?" Bonnie joined in.

"Stand back!" Prof. Sycamore yelled, just as he kicked down the door. 

The others looked at him in surprise before filing into the house. Everything was a mess, but there was no sign of Clembot or Meyer. 

"W-Where are they?" Shauna whispered, breaking the silence. 

"I-I don't know," Clemont managed to get out. 

"What are you doing here?"

Everyone jumped at the voice behind them, and turned.

"Blaziken Mask!" Prof. Sycamore said, surprised. 

"Clembot!" Clemont said, noticing the robot behind Blaziken Mask.

"Hello, sir," Clembot greeted. 

Clemont's happiness was short lived as he tried to look for his dad. 

"What's wrong, Clemont?" Blaziken Mask asked, noticing Clemont's sadness. 

"I can't find my dad anywhere," Clemont replied. "I hope that he's okay."

"Don't worry, Clemont," Blaziken Mask replied, placing a hand on Clemont's shoulder. "I'm positive that he is okay."

"How would you know?" Clemont asked, giving Blaziken Mask questioning look.

Blaziken Mask was about to answer but Trevor interrupted.

"We need to leave!" Trevor shouted, pointing at the ceiling. 

Everyone looked up to see the ceiling about to collapse under the weight of the vines. They ran out of the house as it collapsed behind them.

"My..home..." Bonnie and Clemont whispered together. 

No one spoke while Bonnie and Clemont looked at their destroyed home. 

"...We must go," Blaziken Mask said, sadness showing in his voice. 

Bonnie and Clemont didn't reply, and just followed everyone as they began to run towards Prism Tower.

Jessie, James, Mairin, Ash, Alain, Steven, Tierno, Sawyer, Diantha, and Serena stared up at Prism Tower.

"We should split up into groups of two," Serena thought out loud. "We can cover more ground this way."

"Whoever finds the machine that they are using to control the two Zygardes should immediately destroy it so it won't cause them anymore suffering," Ash stated, gaining a nod from everyone. "I'll go with Serena."

"I'll go with Tierno," Sawyer said.

"I'll go with Diantha," Steven said. 

"I'll go with Jessie," James said.

"I guess that leaves me with Alain then," Mairin said, earning a smile from Alain. 

 Everyone snuck into Prism Tower and split up into their groups to look for the machine.

The gym leaders and Alexa took shelter in a ruined building as the two Zygardes continued to destroy the city. 

"We can't keep this up," Alexa said, helping her sister bandage Grant's arm. 

"We have to," Ramos replied, petting his Gogoat to reassure it.

"Ramos is right," Wulfric said, trying to stand up, but wincing in pain and falling onto the ground.

"Look at us," Olympia said, checking Wulfric's leg. "We're hurt and exhausted. Alexa is right. We can't keep this up."

Wulfric looked around him. Alexa, and Viola were still bandaging Grant's arm, Grant giving them both a thankful smile. Ramos was talking to his Gogoat, worry in his eyes. Korrina was bandaging her Lucario's arm, Valerie helping. Olympia was looking at Wulfric, worry shining in her eyes. Wulfric sighed, and looked down at his leg. His pants were turning dark with blood, and Olympia began to tightly bandage it to stop the bleeding.

"We need to rest," Korrina said, walking over to them. "Then, we must do whatever we can to stop those two."

The others nodded, looking through a little window that showed the two Zygardes moving away from them. They were the gym leaders of Kalos. They will do whatever they can to save Kalos. Valerie sighed and sat down next to Ramos, holding her Spritzee in her arms. No one said anything.
