The Disaster of Kalos (An Ending to Pokemon XYZ)

Part Two

"Alain, I need to speak with you."

Alain turned to see Prof. Sycamore walking towards him. After Ash has been recorded in the Kalos League Hall of Fame, Alain and Ash and his friends separated. Alain was on his way to Lysandre's Lab to check up on Mairin and Chespie when he was stopped by Prof. Sycamore.

"What is it Prof.?" Alain asked.

"About your battle against Ash," Prof. Sycamore started, beginning to walk. "That was a very impressive battle. And Mega Charizard X. I didn't know that you had a Mega Stone and a Key Stone."

"Oh, yes," Alain said, catching up with the Prof. "I got it from my boss to help him out with his experiment."

"Boss, huh?" Prof. Sycamore asked, slightly in surprise. "Is it Lysandre?"

"Yes," Alain replied. "I wanted to help him because he helped me. I'm on my way to his lab to check up on Mairin and Chespie. Are you headed there as well?"

"Actually no," Prof. Sycamore admitted. "I'm on my way to his cafe to meet up with Ash and the others. Hopefully, you can stop by."

"I hope so too," Alain commented. "I have to go. Good-bye, Professor."

"Bye, Alain."

Alain watched as the Prof. walked away. Prof. Sycamore didn't know the real truth to why Alain wanted to help Lysandre with his experiment. He couldn't know until Lysandre's experiment was done. Alain put his hands in his pockets, and walked off.

"Lysandre Cafe?" Ash asked Prof. Sycamore through Meyer's phone. "Who's Lysandre?"

"He's the inventor of the Holo Caster," Meyer replied. " He is also the owner of Lysandre Labs."

"I would love to meet him!" Clemont exclaimed, his eyes shinning.

"Me too!" Bonnie agreed.

"According to my map, it's not that far from here," Serena said, checking her map.

"Oh yeah, I've been there before," Meyer replied, nodding his head. "They make some really good coffee."

"Why do you want to meet us there, Prof.?" Clemont asked, lightly pushing Ash to the side.

"I want to introduce you all to Lysandre," Prof. Sycamore replied. "Oh he's here. Got to go. Hopefully I'll see you all here soon."

"I'll pull up the directions," Serena said, typing into her map. "Ah, here we go."

"We'll see you later Meyer," Ash said, as he and Serena left Clemont's house.

Clemont and Bonnie were about to leave when Meyer stopped them.

"Clemont, Bonnie, I heard that you were going to accompany Ash and Serena to Kanto," Meyer said, folding his arms.

"Yeah daddy!" Bonnie exclaimed happily, while Clemont looked down.

"Now Clemont, you can't just leave Clembot as the Gym Leader," Meyer told his son. "You have to uphold your duties as the Gym Leader."

"But daddy!" Bonnie started to protest, but Clemont stopped her.

"Bonnie, go catch up with Serena and Ash," Clemont told her. "I'll catch up with you guys later."

"Okay, Clemont," Bonnie said sadly, leaving.

"Now, dad," Clemont began, taking a deep breath. "You should know that I don't really want to be the Gym Leader anymore. But, since it is my duty, I guess that I have to go back."

"Glad to hear-" Clemont held up his hand to interrupt him.

"Please, dad, we are only going to Ash's hometown so we can meet his other pokemon," Clemont said. "We are all going to come back so Ash can challenge Diantha. And after that, Bonnie and I will come back, and I will go back to my duties."

Meyer stared at him for a while until he finally smiled.

"Well, I guess I can't argue with that," Meyer said. "It's great that you and your sister have met some great friends. Alright, you and your sister can go."

"Thanks dad!" Clemont replied, his eyes shinning.

"Just be careful out there," Meyer said, placing a hand on Clemont's shoulder.

Clemont nodded in reply, and ran out of his house and towards Lysandre Cafe.

Prof. Sycamore waited with Lysandre outside of the cafe as Ash and the others soon arrived.

"Ah, here they are," Prof. Sycamore announced as Ash and his friends walked in.

Next to Prof. Sycamore was a man in a black suit and had red, flaming hair. He seemed to have a stern expression on his face, even though he smiled.

"Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie," Prof. Sycamore introduced. "This is Lysandre."

"Glad to meet you," They said.

"Greetings returned," Lysandre said. "Ash, I heard from the Prof. that you won the Kalos League."

"Yeah, I did," Ash replied. "Although, it was very hard. The person I battled against was very tough."

"Oh?" Lysandre asked, his smile turning into a small smirk. "And who was that?"

"This trainer named Alain," Ash replied.

"He had a really strong Mega Charizard," Clemont butted in.

"But Ash-Greninja helped win the match!" Bonnie also cut in.

Lysandre's smile faded, and he looked at Ash in shock.

"Ash-Greninja?" Lysandre asked, sitting down at one of the tables. "Care to explain it to me?"

Ash sat down in the seat in front of Lysandre, and told the whole story. Lysandre heard him out until the end.

"That is interesting," Lysandre mused. "Why don't you all come with me to my lab and we can conduct some experiments to figure this out."

"We can visit your lab?" Clemont asked, his eyes shinning happily.

"Of course, Clemont," Lysandre said, his smile coming back. "The Prof. did tell me that you did like inventing things. We should go there now if you are that excited."

"Please don't leave without me, Lysandre."

They all turned to see Alain in the doorway, his arms folded.

"Oh, Alain, you made it," Prof. Sycamore said.

"Alain, it's good that you came," Lysandre said. "You haven't been updating on your data yet."

"You know Alain?" Serena asked in surprise.

"Yes, he does know me," Alain said. "He is my boss." Then, turning to Ash. "I was going to tell him about you and your Greninja's power, but I guess that you got ahead of me."

"Well, since everybody's here, I guess we should go," Lysandre said.

They started to leave the cafe, but Lysandre stopped Alain.

"Alain, I need you to keep an eye on Bonnie," Lysandre ordered.

"Bonnie? Why?"

"Besides the Dedenne in her bag, Z2 is with her. We are going to need to catch it again. I bet that if we have it, it will help Mairin and Chespin."

"Alright, I'll do it."

"Thank you."
