To no surprise Jacob brought up the sight of Darren and I yesterday. Here I am sitting at lunch eating my sandwich when he came over and sat across from me. He looked pretty cute in his black t-shirt and nice blue jeans. Oh god, did I just say that?
“So was that your boyfriend you were walking with yesterday?” he asked curiously.
“Well hello to you to.” I responded.
He smiled in amusement and I continued to eat my food.
“Well?” he asked.
“Well what?”
“Was that your boyfriend?”
“Does it matter if he was or was not my boyfriend?”
“I don’t want to cross any boundaries if you have a boyfriend.”
“Why would you even think about doing something involving crossing boundaries?”
He sat there in silence to my question. He now had my full and undivided attention. He looked like he was about to answer when Dee, Sherrell, and Chi Chi came over to the table. They all looked at Jacob and I weirdly.
“Oh hi Jacob.” Dee said.
“Hi Dee.” he said smiling at her.
All the girls sat down and Jacob looked at me as if he wanted to continue our conversation, but decided against it.
“What’s your number?” he asked boldly.
Sherrell could not help but stare intently on the two of us. Dee was smiling from ear to ear and Chi Chi was so confused.
“My number?” I asked him.
He smiled.
“Yes. So I can call you later.”
My heart stopped when he said that.
“So does this mean you won’t be at my locker at the end of the day?” I asked him.
He must of liked that question because he continued to smile at me.
