CHAPTER 21
As I took probably my tenth shot of vodka I apologized in my head to my mom for breaking my promise not to drink. I felt a slight burn in my throat and then chased the shot with some raspberry lemonade. My tongue was in love with the sweet taste. Once I finally swallowed everything I slammed my shot glass down on the table.
“Woohoo!” I yelled.
“Wait Mel I didn’t finish mine yet!” Dee said.
“Well hurry up.”
Once Dee took her shot we grabbed our drinks and walked towards the area where people were dancing. It was currently one in the morning and our rental had about thirty to forty people from our school in it. Everyone kind of just showed up and then texted a friend who brought three people with them. Before we knew it we were having a crazy ass banger! Dee and I rocked our hips to the music of Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” To my right I can see Chi Chi dancing with one of Jacob’s friends. I couldn’t tell which one cause it was kind of dark.
“Hey have you seen Jacob?” I asked Dee.
She simply shook her head.
“No I haven’t. Maybe he is outside smoking?” she suggested.
I shook my head.
“I doubt it. He’s an athlete he really can’t afford to be smoking.”
“That’s true. I’m sure he’ll pop up soon.” she said.
I nodded my head in agreement and kept on dancing. Eventually some guy came up to Dee and started dancing with her, so I got bored and decided to go get another drink. It was such a hassle to find the bottle of ciroc. Now I needed to find the rasberry lemonade.
“Looking for this?” a familiar voice said.
I looked up and saw my least favorite person in the world right now, Darren.
“What the hell are you doing here?” I snapped.
“I heard about the party and decided to come.”
