Sad Love

He gone
He's left
He was a thief
Who made a theft

Stole your heart
Locked it away
He's the boy
You still want today

He's never there
Always gone
He makes you think
It won't last long

You haven't noticed
But he's cheating
He now gets drunk
And delivers you beatings

Your hide every night
In a closet so small
He comes home
Asks where you are

He sounds sober
You don't think long
His footsteps stop in front of the closet
He opens it up to see fear in your eyes

He starts to cry
Falls on his knees
Whispers I'm a monster
You don't deserve me

You touch him
But he flinches away
Though it hurts you try again
You pull him closer

And he falls
Into your lap crying harder
He says I hurt you
That's something I promised I'd never do

You tell him it's okay
He sits up and looks at you
Confusion in his eyes
So you say

My father told me
"Never let someone drown
While you okay, because that
Means your just as low as them."

He restrains from hugging you
You see it in his eyes
He's back to the old him
Not the animal inside

You pull him into a hug
He holds you
As if your made of glass
That was his phase, and now it's passed

That night he took you out
For an amazing adventure
You had a blast
This is the real him, you hope it lasts
