Chapter 13

CONORS POV

They said it was a coma

I was told there was no permanent damage to her brain

Doctors said that the concussion caused her to go into a coma (A/N: I don't know if that is possible but let's go with it)

They said it could last a day, a week, a month maybe even more

Let me tell you, it had been 3 weeks and I have not left Emily's side

The boys have been bringing me changes of clothes and I have been using the shower that is connected to Emily's room

I can't help but think the worst, she hasn't moved a muscle

I was getting sick of this

No one was telling me anything

"Please calm down, Mr Maynard" the doctor sighs

"I won't calm down, I have been sat here for three weeks not being told anything, she is my girlfriend for fuck sake" I say getting impatient

"Mr Maynard we told you the situation" she says calmly

"Hey Conor, what's up?" I hear a voice ask

I turn to see Joe walking towards me

I bro Hug him

"I'm sick of Emily just laying there, not doing anything" I mumble running my hand through my hair

"Mr Maynard, we told you that it could take as long as it takes, Emily will wake up when she wants to wake up" the doctor says with a sympathetic look in her eye

I am about to say something when Joe interrupts me

"Mate how about I take you home, you get some sleep, some food, a wash, a change of clothes and you come back later" he suggests

"But I need to be here for Emily" I stubbornly say

I don't want to leave her

What if she wakes up and there isn't anyone here?

She might think that no one cares for her

"Conor, if she wakes up you will be the first person to be notified about it" Joe reassures

Maybe Joe was right, I do smell a bit

"Fine but I want to be told straight away if she wakes up" I point at the doctor

"Yes Mr Maynard, we will ring you straight away" she nods before walking away

I sigh before I take one last look at Emily's room and I walk away

I don't need to take my stuff with me, If I am coming back to see her

I won't let her sleep here alone at night, incase she wakes up

I wasn't the only one to visit her, all of the boys have been at least once

But Mikey has been coming by but every time he does, he won't say one word to me

Nothing at all
