I sit down on the high seat in front of my microphone and Alex sits in front of his microphone but facing me
Today me and Alex are recording a sing off for my YouTube channel and a cover for Alex's channel
If you don't know what Alex I am talking about
I mean Alex Aiono
"So how have you been?" he asks me as he adjusts the hat on his head
"Well I've been good actually" I say with a smile
The thought of me and Emily getting close again pops into my head
Alex raises an eyebrow at me
"What's made you so smiley?" he asks
"Oh nothing, nothing" I mumble
"Oh really?" Alex questions
I start laughing knowing that I can't lie to him
"It's Emily isn't it?" he asks
I look at him with a puzzled look
"How did you know?" I question
"Just a hunch" Alex says as he shrugs with a smile
I roll my eyes with a smile
"So what's been going on with Emily?" Alex questions as he rubs his hands together
I run my hand through my hair
"Well we have been getting closer, you know talking more and stuff, we even did a YouTube video together" I tell him
"Yeah I saw that" he says nodding
"I just feel like I am slowly getting Emily back, I might get that opportunity" I say
Alex gives me a sympathetic look
"Conor man, don't just rush into anything that could get you in trouble" he says
I sigh
Everyone says that to me
Harper said that same thing to me
Why don't people understand, I would do anything to get Emily back
Whether it gets me in trouble or not
"We only have your interests at heart, that is why we keep repeating it" Alex says
I look at him with a raised eyebrow
How did he know what I was thinking?
"You was thinking out loud" he tells me
"Ohhhhhh" I say as I form a O shape with my mouth and lift my head up
"So are you ready to get this sing off started?" Alex asks
"Of course I am, the question is are you ready?" I tease him
"As ready as I'll every be" he says with a laugh
"Let's do this" I say as I clap my hands together
- AN HOUR LATER-
We just finished recording my sing off video and now we are going to film Alex's cover
He gave me a choice of two covers
Either Don't Wanna Know by Maroon 5 Or Starboy by The Weeknd and Daft Punk
So I learnt both
"So did you decide what song you want to do a cover of?" I ask Alex
