Chapter 41

EMILYS POV

-THE NEXT DAY-

Ever since I have woke up this morning, Jack has been really off with me

He got up before me but I actually understand why he is being so off with me

Have I done something wrong?

JACKS POV

I run my hand through my hair as I press the home button on my phone

"Do you want some tea?" Emily asks

"Not right now, I'm going out in a second" I say looking up from my phone

"Where are you going?" She asks as she sips on the tea she has just made

"Just out" I say with a shrug

"Well ok then" she says with a sigh before she walks away into the living room

I check the time on my phone

11:32am

I should really leave, this isn't something I should be late for

I grab my car keys off the side, which I have now attached my flat keys to

So if I lose my flat keys, I lose my car keys and I never want to lose my car keys

"I'm going out, I'll see you later" I tell Emily before I leave

"Bye then" I hear Emily say before I walk out the door

I sigh as I walk down the hallway

Why doesn't Emily get that I'm annoyed and upset?

Does she actually not know or is she acting like she doesn't care?

I get down to the exit of the building and I go to my car which is parked next to Emily's

I quickly unlock It and get in

I start the car and I drive out of the car park and down the road

I run my hand through my hair as I stop at some traffic lights

Mad and annoyed isn't the words for how I feel right now

As the traffic lights turn green, I start to drive down the road again in the direction of my destination

It isn't long before I pull into the car park and I park my car in an empty space

I get out my car and swiftly walk through the doors of the building

I go up to the reception desk

"Hi, how can I help you?" the lady behind the desk asks

"I'm Jack Maynard, I'm here to see Doctor Delvin" I tell her

She types on her computer for a moment before looking up at me again

"Alright, well take a seat in the waiting room and wait for your name to be shown on the screen" the women says

I nod and walk towards the area filled with chairs, some being occupied by people

I go and sit on one of the chairs at the back of the waiting room, wanting to make myself stand out less

I'm sat there for a good 15 minutes before I hear a ding and I see my name appear on the screen

The screen also told me what room to go to

I sigh as I nervously walk towards the consultation room

Once I get to the wooden door, I gently knock three times before I hear a voice say "Come in!" from the other side of the door
