Chapter 50

-A WEEK LATER-

JACKS POV

Cuts and scrapes

Whiplash

One fractured wrist

One fractured elbow

And one very lucky baby

Pickles is lucky to be alive right now

Thanks to Emily having a new car, when the other car hit Emily's, her seat belt locked around her so she didn't move much as the car rolled

To keep herself from getting massively hurt, Emily slammed the lower half of her right arm onto the door as the car rolled, which resulted in a fractured elbow and a fractured wrist

Because the seatbelt was locked in, Emily's neck went against it which caused the whiplash

Renault are replacing Emily's car as we speak, thanks to Emily's insurance on the car

The police said that the other driver was falling asleep at the wheel and they didn't see the red light so they carried on driving, whilst Emily's side of the road was on green and that caused the collision

They are both really lucky to be alive

Emily had to stay in the hospital over night so they could plaster her arm up, clean her up and making sure everything was ok with her and Pickles

But I brought her home, once she was allowed to leave the hospital and she has been at home ever since

Since Emily can't drive, she hasn't really left the flat unless she needs to

Plus Emily gets her car back next week

But today I'm going out to pick something up with Mikey and Oli

I try and sit up in bed but something weighs my chest down

I look down and I see Emily laying on my chest and her arm, that is practically all in a cast placed on my stomach

I place my hand lightly on Emily's head before I softly run my hand through her hair

She hums quietly as she snuffles slightly

It is a moment before she looks up at me

"Morning baby" I says softly before I carry on running my hand through her hair as I lean down and place a kiss on her forehead

She smiles at me

"Morning" Emily mumbles as she tries to stretch out

I smile before I softly slide her off my chest and get out of bed

Emily laughs as she rolls onto her back

"What are you doing?" she asks me

"I'm getting dressed" I say picking some clothes to wear

"So where are you going today?" Emily questions

"Me, Mikey and Oli are going to the gym" I tell her as I throw on my white Spin City t-shirt

"What JRL?" she asks as she sits up against the head board of my bed

"Yeah, I don't think Oli has ever been there so I could show him a thing or two" I say smugly as I show off my muscles

"Alright Mr 'I used to be a personal trainer' boosting your own ego" Emily says with a laugh

"Well no one else is going to do it" I say with a shrug as I chuckle
