Chapter 40

-THE NEXT DAY-

CONORS POV

"I was up late last night figuring it out and how it would work" I say looking down at the sheets of paper on my desk

"What made you want to put that in?" She wonders

"Just with what happened last night made me think of it" I tell her

"Well that makes sense" She mumbles with a nod

"I'm going to sort out the-" I'm cut off by the sound of my door opening

"Conor I was wondering if- Oh hey Harper!" Emily says as she walks in my room

She waves at Harper who is currently on Skype to me

"Hey Emily!" Harper says cheerily as she waves back at Emily

"What did you come in here for? Also have you ever heard of knocking, you have a go at me for not knocking on your door so why don't you knock on mine?" I ask with a slight smirk

"Oh shut it you, I was wondering if you wanted to come and see my new car when it arrives but I'll leave you to it" Emily says as she go to walk towards the door

"Wait! What time is the car coming?" I ask as I turn my office chair around to face Emily

"Ummmm soon I think, I'm not sure what time, the man is going to knock on the door with the keys" she says with a shrug

"Well let me just finish this up with Harper and then you can have my undivided attention" I offer

Emily looks at me and nods

"Should I just sit on your bed? I mean I can wait in my room if you are having a private conversation" she says rambling on

"Sure you can take a seat on my bed" I say turning around to face Harper again

I hear Emily sit down on my bed before I continue my conversation with Harper

"Right so I will get everything recorded, I will send you the lyrics and let you know when we can film it" I tell her

"Sounds perfect!" Harper exclaims

"I think this-" Suddenly I hear the doorbell ring

"That's the guy with my car, see you later Harper" Emily says before she walks out of my room

"BYE!" Harper shouts to Emily but she had already walked out the door

I shake my head and laugh at Harper's attempt at saying bye to Emily

"Conor, don't start something that you can't finish with Emily" Harper says

I sigh

"I won't, it's just she pulls me in and I know that it will get me in trouble but I'll be honest and say that a lot of me doesn't care if I do get in trouble" I tell her honestly

"You are a real trouble maker Conor Maynard" Harper says with a laugh as she shakes her head

"I don't mean to be! Anyway I got to go and see this new car of Emily's, text me yeah?" I say to Harper

"Of course, bye Conor" she says

"Bye" I say before ending the call

I shut the lid of my Macbook and I slide my phone into my pocket before walking out of my room

I go down the stairs and I walk through the hallway to see Emily stood there typing on my phone

"So is it here?" I ask
