A/N: K, I tried to take a break, I really did
But I kinda couldn't control myself cuz I really like NinjaGo
The boys took a more than a few moments to help Ronin fix his nose; Kai and Cole had to hold him down while Zane reset it. Jay was off towards the door, outside of which Lizz was pacing like a caged panther.
"Jay, you can let her back in," Kai told him, handing Ronin a cloth for his still bleeding nose.
"That's the fourth time you've had to reset his nose," Jay told him, "Do you really want to do it a fifth?"
"I do believe Lizz has calmed down enough not to attack Ronin if she sees him again," Zane chimed in, "She is as important to this mission as the rest of us and needs to be here."
"Is no one going to ask my opinion?" Ronin snapped, his deep voice slightly clogged, "I don't want that maniac in my shop anymore!"
"Hey!" Kai snapped, pointing at Ronin, "You're the one that kidnapped her and sold her like a sick human-trafficker! You're lucky that I don't-"
"Kai," Cole held out his arm in front of Kai, a warning to calm down, "Cool it. You're just as hot-headed as Lizz is. We'll have to put you out there with her if you keep it up."
Speaking of Lizz, she was now back inside, standing behind Jay--almost using him as a shield, "Lizz?" Jay addressed it.
"I'm staying behind you in case I jump at him again," she grit out through clenched teeth, glaring directly at Ronin, "How's your eye?" she meant the one under the eye patch, not the black one she'd just given him.
"Half there, no thanks to you," he snarked, "Now why are you guys all here? Surely it can't only be to let your guard dog break my nose five times," Ronin paused, "Hey, wait, if this is about our last encounter, i-it was only business."
Kai started stepping around Cole's arm to inch towards Ronin, "You left us in the mouth of a-"
"Yeah... so you're still upset," Ronin pulled the cloth away from his nose slightly, wiping at the blood caked in his facial stubble, "Lemme make it up to you," he leapt behind his desk and pressed a button with a triumphant laugh. A net came down from the ceiling and caught absolutely nothing. After a slight moment of uncomfortable silence, Ronin gulped, "Uh... that was a mistake, I-I can explain that."
"Ugh," Cole rolled his eyes, "Nothin' here is legit. Including you."
"Yeah," Jay moved to the desk, ducking half under the net and lifting it up to look better at Ronin, "I bet your airship's not far, either. Uh... what do you call it again? Rylo? Ruby?"
"Rex," Lizz growled from her corner, "Damn thing..."
"Can you have a little sympathy?" Ronin turned around and began feeling up the shelf behind him, "Sold her so I could buy this place."
"Doubt that," Lizz scoffed, "No one would buy that after-"
"You ripped apart the dash," Ronin finished, "You know, you were a very destructive three year old."
"That happens when you take someone against their will," Kai mumbled.
"Look," Ronin turned back to face them, his hands on his hips, "I'm trying to make an honest living, alright?"
"Honest living?" Kai mocked, "Honest enough to steal the Scroll of Airjitzu?"
Ronin tossed aside his bloody cloth, "The Scroll of Whoatzu?"
