A/N: I both apologize for the long ass wait and don't apologize for it at the same time. I apologize because I hate writing first-person-point-of-view stuff and I suck at it, which is why it too so long to write just this little tiny bit of writing.

But I don't apologize for it because I left y'all on a cliffhanger for a reason tehe

Anyhoe, here's a really really tiny basically-filler chapter until I figure out how exactly I'm going to do this

Into the river. I gotta jump into the river, I--

My thoughts broke off when I made a choked gurgling noise, something snagging on the back of my Gi collar at the same time I made a jump for the water's rocky surface. The wind was immediately knocked out of me as I landed on my back, a sudden wave of cold washing over me.

It felt like someone dumped a bucket of ice down the back of my shirt.

I stood back up, almost without needing to actually try. The cavern sounded empty. The river was back to a gentle lull, but the boys... the boys were gone. No talking, or cheering because we finally got Lloyd back... A soft sea breeze blew my hair a little, and I brushed it from my face as I turned another circle, trying to make sure I'd checked everywhere.

I cursed when I turned around, though. Standing directly in front of me, in the empty cave, was Morro. Pale skin, black eyes. Black hair, that irritating green streak... it was him, alright, but something was... off about his ghostly appearance, "What did you do with them?!"

His smirk grew, "I didn't do anything with them."

"They sure as hell didn't leave me here," I snapped, trying to sound angry. The shakiness of my voice gave away my thoughts, though.

He started laughing, starting at deep, breathy chuckles before escalating into full-bore laughing his ass off, "You honestly have no idea, do you!"

"Idea about what, exactly? Hmm?" I reached up and pulled down my hood before pulling out my Aeroblade, setting myself into a coiled stance.

"That you can't win!" he cackled, unsheathing a sword from his back. What confused me is that it wasn't the Sword of Sanctuary.

I yelled out and ran at him, hoping to run him through with the deadly blade in my hand and get rid of him once and for all. But even without the Sword, he somehow dodged my attack with ease, sidestepping my advances.

Before I could get away, a hand wrapped around my throat and pulled my face inches away from Morro's. He sneered at me, "Weak."

Oh my God... he's... "You're..." his grip around my throat was getting tighter; Morro was trying to choke me out.

"Human," he laughed, "As human as I can be right now, that is," he added nonchalantly, giving my windpipe a squeeze for extra emphasis.

I hiccupped, "How."

"I can appear almost however I feel in here," he shrugged. My feet left the ground, toes brushing the sand.

"Where's... here?" My voice was straining, neck aching. Vision darkening.

Morro lifted me higher, and then slammed me back-first into the ground, effectively knocking  what little breath I had left out of me. His hand was still around my throat, and I was now clawing at it, trying to kick out at him with my feet, push him off, anything, but to no avail. My wheezing was getting worse, more laboured.

He was still all I could see, leaning so close that he took up my entire line of cloudy vision. Every little scar and freckle on his evil, childish face, "Your head."
