Thanksgiving

It is thanksgiving! We are all gathered in my bourse. All meaning the Dun household and the Joseph's household minus the homophobic grandparents. The dads and brothers are in the living room watching the game while the moms and sisters are helping cook. Tyler and I are going on a run. Tyler just plays basketball and I just like to exercise not watch sports.

Tyler and I went on our usual route through the woods and down the road. It's a five mile loop that takes us about a half hour to do depending on if we stop at the creek.

We walked into the house sweaty and my mom smiled "dinner will be ready in twenty minutes so hurry to shower" she told us so we went upstairs.

"Tybaby just shower with me. It'll save time" I told him as I looked at him shirtless. "Fine. Nothing can get sexual. We only have twenty minutes" he told me so I agreed before we both got in the shower.

After we showered we went downstairs to join everyone for dinner. It's one of the biggest meals of the year and neither Tyler or I is gonna eat much. We all prayed before getting food. "Boys you just ran like five miles. You should eat more" mom said so I looked at Tyler. "We aren't that hungry" Tyler told them before picking at the slice of turkey he has. They all shrugged and went on talking about random shit.

After dinner everyone went to the living room to talk about school and sports. Tyler and I are tired from our run so we just sat quietly. I put my arm over Tyler's shoulder and he rested his head on my shoulder. "I love you Joshua" he mumbled sleepily so I smiled at him. "I love you too Tyler" I replied before he slowly drifted to sleep.

I carefully picked him up and took him up to my bed. I set him down and covered him up before leaving the room. I have an important question to ask Chris and Kelly.

I walked downstairs and sighed nervously. "Uh. Mister and misses Joseph can I ask you something really important?" I  asked nervously so everyone went dead silent to listen to me. "Of course and Josh you can call us by our first names you know" Kelly replied and I nodded. "I know. But that's beside the point" I said nervously so they smiled waiting for the question "ok so I know you guys haven't been completely on board with Tyler and I's relationship but the truth is that Tyler makes me so happy and when I'm with him it's like all my depression and anxiety goes away. I want that everyday of my life so may I have your blessing to marry Tyler?" I asked and I'm really freaked out right now. This is one of the hardest things I've had to do in my life. "Josh I've seen how you've completely transformed our son. He's so happy when he's with you. I want to see my son happy all the time" Kelly said so I smiled a little "yes, Joshua you have our blessing" Chris told me so I smiled "thank you so much" I smiled with a sigh of relief. "Zack, jay. Do not tell Tyler about this. I know you will try to" Chris told them "we won't" zack told him so I nodded before sitting back down.

I was listening to the conversation when suddenly a sleepy looking Tyler appeared in front of me. "Why'd you leave me upstairs?" He asked in a raspy half awake voice. "Because you are tired and I wanted you to sleep comfortably" I told him so he just sat down next to me. "Go back to sleep Tybaby" I told him and he looked at me. "I wanna kiss first" he told me so I kissed him before he laid his head in my lap and fell asleep I looked down and played with his short, slightly curly hair.

I looked up and saw my mom taking a picture. I immediately shielded my face from the camera. "I already got you off guard" she told me so I rolled my eyes. "Dude. You guys are relationship goals. I need a boyfriend like Josh" Maddison said "sorry. I am taken by this beautiful man right here" I told her and she smiled "I said like Josh" she pointed out so I smiled then looked at Zack and Abby. Zack keeps flirting with her. "Zack what are you doing?" I asked him so he looked up "talking to your sister" he replied then Abby glared at me. "Josh, stop being a protective brother. Zack is a good person" Abby said so I shrugged before looking back down at Tyler.

"Ok it's getting late. I think it's time for everyone to go to home and get in bed" Kelly said so everyone agreed. "Josh just take Tyler upstairs. He can sleep with you tonight" Kelly told me so I nodded. "Mom can I stay with zack tonight?" Abby asked and I laughed "no, zack lets go home" Kelly replied and mom agreed "why does Tyler get to sleep with his boyfriend but I can't sleep with my girlfriend?" zack asked so I looked at him. "Boy plus boy doesn't not equal baby. Girl plus boy does equal baby and I'm not letting you knock my sister up" I told him so he flipped me off as he left. I smirked then carried Tyler upstairs.

I laid next to Tyler just watching him sleep. I can't believe I might get to wake up to his beautiful face every morning. I really hope he says yes. I don't know what I will do if he says no.
