Wedding

I stood in front of the mirror and looked at myself. Recently I decided to dye my hair red and it looks awesome. I'm also really nervous because I'm getting married today. It'll be amazing and I know Tyler will say yes but I'm still nervous. "Are you ready Josh?" My mom asked so I nodded my brother and Tyler's brothers were the groomsmen I guess you would call them. Jordan is my best man. Tyler got the girls so he has both of our sisters as his groomsmen or bridesmaids. I don't know. I'm just super nervous. "Josh" mom said again so I looked up and nodded. I looped my arm in hers and we walked down the isle to the alter. I smiled at the priest then turned towards the back. I smiled when I saw Tyler walking with his father towards me. Holy shit. Even though I'm with him every day I fall for him even more. God he's so beautiful.

Tyler stood in front of me and we faced each other. We held hands and the priest began talking. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here on this beautiful day to witness the union of Josh and Tyler in holy matrimony. This is a day of great celebration and reverence, on which we come together before before God to recognize and commemorate the sacred love and dedication shared between these two people. It is wonderful to have family and friends here to join us today. The bride and groom would like to thank their guests for being here, and would like you to know that each of you were invited here on this day because you have played an integral part in their intertwining lives.

As the Bible reminds us in Corinthians, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails."

In the time that Josh and Tyler have spent together, they've built the sturdy foundation for a lifelong relationship. After a great deal of thoughtful consideration, they have decided to bind themselves to one another for the rest of their lives.

May you all remember and cherish this sacred ceremony, for on this day, with love, we will forever bind Josh and Tyler together" the priest said then looked at Jordan "who gives the groom?" He asked then Jordan stood up straight "I do" Jordan replied then the priest continued talking " Josh and Tyler, the sacred vows that you make to one another today present you with the opportunity to express your love in your own words. I would at this time invite you to publically declare these vows. Tyler you may begin" he told Tyler so Tyler took a deep breath.

"Josh, I knew since the moment we met that I wanted to be more than just your friend. Everyday, I feel like when I'm with you all of my depression goes away. I promise, to keep you happy, eat more, help you when you need it and put you before anything else" most importantly, I promise you, Joshua William Dun, that I will stay alive and not hurt myself anymore" Tyler said and I started tearing up.

"Josh your vows" the priest said so I wiped my tears before looking into Tyler's eyes.

"Tyler, I knew when I saw you that I would finally have someone to talk to. Now I'm not good at talking in front of people and I'm honestly scared to death right now. Tyler, I promise you that I will always talk to you, I will always take care of you, I won't hold you back from reaching your dreams and I will definitely be there when you need someone to remind you why you are living" I told him so he smiled at me.

The priest looked at us then began talking again. "Josh and Tyler please face one another and join hands. Under the eyes of God, Josh, do you take Tyler to be your lawfully wedded husband? By making this commitment, you are joining in the sacred covenant of marriage.

Do you promise to honor him in love, to be sensitive to his needs, to comfort him in difficulty, and to put your full and complete trust in him, so long as you both shall live?" He asked and I smiled "I do" I replied then he looked at Tyler. " Under the eyes of God, Tyler, do you take Josh to be your lawfully wedded husband? By making this commitment, you are joining in the covenant of marriage.

Do you promise to honor him in love, to be sensitive to his needs, to comfort him in difficulty, and to put your full and complete trust in him, so long as you both shall live?" He asked him so Tyler smiled at me "I do" Tyler replied and the priest nodded.

"The rings" the priest said so Jordan pulled out the two silver and black rings. "To commemorate this union, you may now exchange rings. The circle formed by each ring symbolizes your eternal love and commitment to one another. Let these rings remind you always of that love, and of the promises you have made here on this day" the priest said so I picked up a ring before speaking "I, Josh, give you Tyler this ring as a symbol of my love and commitment. With this ring, I thee wed" I slid the ring on his finger then he grabbed the other ring and spoke. "I, Tyler, give you Josh this ring as a symbol of my love and commitment. With this ring, I thee wed." Tyler slid the ring on my finger and smiled at me.

"By the power vested in me, by the Universal Life Church and by the state of Ohio, I pronounce you, Josh and Tyler as husband and husband, lawfully wedded before God. Josh, you may now kiss the groom, forever sealing your union." The priest said so I grabbed Tyler's hips pulling him into me as I connected our lips. Everyone clapped and we pulled away. "Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to present to you Mr. and Mr. Josh and Tyler Dun!" The priest announced and everyone clapped. The exit music began to play and Tyler and I walked down the isle to sign the legal documents saying we got married. We then went out to get our wedding photos together.

Tyler and I got to the reception and everyone clapped as we entered the room. "Congratulations sweet heart" mom told me before kissing my cheek. "Thanks mom" I smiled then looked at Tyler. "Everyone clear the floor. It's time for the grooms to dance with their mothers" the Dj announced so I let go of Tyler and found my mom.

I slow danced with my mom and smiled at her. "Mom don't cry" I told her seeing her tears "but my baby is all grown up. You're married now" she sniffled so I hugged her as we danced. "I love you mom. I will always love you. You're my mother" I told her so she nodded. The dance ended then I went back to Tyler. "Now it's time for the couples first dance together" the Dj said so I faced Tyler "let's see if those dance lessons from your parents came in handy" Tyler whispered so I smiled at him. "I don't care if you're a terrible dancer. I'm just happy that you are Tyler Dun now" I told him as we danced together. I stared into his eyes and smiled. "I love you" I told him "I love you too" he replied then I kissed him. The song ended then everyone clapped.

We sat at our tables and they served us dinner. At Tyler and I's table it was Jordan, Abby, Ashley, Zack, Jay, Maddison and both Tyler and I's parents. "Where did you guys plan on going do for your honeymoon?" Ashley asked and I smirked. "Joshua!" Mom laughed causing me to laugh. "But seriously we are going to rent a cabin in the woods by a lake and stay there for a week together" Tyler smiled so everyone nodded. "That sounds  fun. Stay safe while you are there" Kelly told us so I smiled at her.

I looked at Tyler and smiled. "What? Do I have something on my face?" He asked so I shook my head "no, I'm just admiring my husband" I told him causing him to smile. I leaned forward and connected our lips. "I love you" I told him causing him to smile. "I love you too" he replied then we finished our meals.

We decided it was time to cut the cake so Tyler and I walked over and grabbed the knife. We cut a slice and put it on a plate before we both grabbed forks. I took a little piece and we fed each other cake. We smiled then I put frosting on the tip of Tyler's nose. Everyone laughed and I just kissed Tyler before leaving the catering staff to serve the rest of the cake. Today was an amazing day. Everything is so perfect. I can't believe I'm married to the most perfect man in the world. I'm truly speechless.
