Midnight - Young Justice

Another City

For those of you who are not I would recommend a book by a friend of mine, PineWatch, is writing a book called Speed Demons, out books are now intertwined a little bit, so if you don't understand this go to her. I think she changed her name to Ryan the Stormcaller. That may help, though it is probably spelled wrong... anyway here we go

Karra, "Hey Daddy what 'ya looking at?"

Bruce turned around in the big chair in the Batcave, "Oh hey girls. There was just an anomaly in Central City almost a year ago, now there is some meta-people there, I was just looking into the connection."

Kayla gave a 'duh' look, after looking at the screen for a few minutes she said, "There are two that are trying to stop the other guys, they're fast, and hey that one is slowing down. Do you think that the effect is wearing off?"

Bruce looked at her, "That could be I don't know much else of what to do."

They stayed for some time talking about what had happened in CC and how The Flash and The Spark were stopping new super-villains that were popping up left and right.

Bruce, "I think it is time to pay my complex in Central City a visit." Both girls looked at each other.

Girls, "At night?"

Bruce, "Maybe, but for now lets stick to the day."

Later that day in Central City

Karra, "I haven't seen either streak since we've been here. I haven't seen anything that I couldn't have seen in Gotham."

Kayla, "You have to wait, they will be out soon." they had been on computers looking up stuff on the two since they had left Gotham. "I have been trying to figure out where their base of op is and I think I found it." she moved the computer over to Karra.

Karra, "It would make sense to be in the building that cause them to have that. I wish we could go talk to them."

Kayla gave Karra a look, "We can, and we can help them..."

The plan brewed, and the girls went out. They might be up against a hacker and a techey person, but they were stronger that the old kids at S.T.A.R.

Outside S.T.A.R

Me, "Karra hack it let me into the garage, i'll talk to the girl, to bad Berry doesn't have his speed now. I think it would be fun to talk to him." We had already listened to the conversation Skye and Cisco had.

Karra, "There is a camera in this corner look at it and she will come out."

Kayla, "K be right back." I walked in an unlocked door.

The girl in the black suit came fast through another door. 

"You need to be ready tonight," Pause, "Blackout is coming."

"Blackout is... Wait. How did you know that's what we call him? Cisco just said that." She was so confused even through the armor I could see that.

I smiled, "I know, I heard."

She frowned, "How?"

Me, "Also, you should tell Barry that his speed will come back." I was blunt but still tried to be nice to the wannabe superhero.

She was so confused, "How do you know Barry?"

Kayla, "I don't. See you around Spark, or should I say, Skye." I grinned like the chesire cat, and ran off to a door, I'm glad I'm the fast one, Karra would never have gotten away.

Me, "It worked, what are they talking about now?"

Karra handed me a tablet.

Skye jumped, something unexpected talked to her, "Are you kidding me Tony? You're going to give me a heart attack."

It said something we couldn't hear.

Kayla "Can you hack the suit to know what is happening?"

Karra, "I already tried, it's just too far out of reach."

Skye snorted, "Indeed it would. That's pretty obvious. Still standing with the Accords?"

Response.

"Fine then. I was just about to deactivate the suit. I'm guessing I'll use it again tonight. Is there a way to wirelessly make it faster?"

Response.

"Thanks"

Response.

"Shut it Shellhead. I'm late."

One last response, then she clicked her wrists together and the Black armor rolled up into a cross necklace and two bracelets.

I looked to Karra, "That would be so cool."

She walked back into to guy that was there.

Karra looked at Kayla, "I am now going to hack that just for the fun of making her think that Tony did it then all of them will be so confused!"

Kayla grinned, "Yes!" They high fived and high tailed it back to where they were staying.
