Midnight - Young Justice

Scene 5

Back in the cave Superman, Conner, and The Team were all going over the very unsuccessful mission, when Batman came in via zeta tube.

Miss Martian, "Psimon was there with Queen Bee. The border between Bialya and Quarac led to a dead end and wounds. We only survived because Rocket and Bumblblee knocked him out on the physical plane while I was in psychic battle. Impulse and Gardian chased off Queen Bee. Queen Audrey was nowhere to be found."

Aqualad, "We didn't find her either but we did find Klarion and Sportsmaster guarding a transport of Kobra-venom. We thought we shut that down but apparently not. There also might be an alliance between Queen Bee and Sportsmaster and the rest of The Light."

Tigress, "Yeah, we saw The Light too, Cheshire, Vandel Savage, and Black Manta had some of his troops there to. Apparently they made a under water path from the Mediterranean Sea to a man-made lake on the border. They were shipping something. Now I'm guessing it was more Kobra-Venom. The Queen of Kaznia wasn't there either"

Nightwing had been listing for over on hour on how the mission had gone and found almost nothing useful. 

Batman had been listening for only the last few minutes but could already see there were problems that needed fixing. "Nightwing a word." The words sounded like a question but it was an obvious demand, not optional. They walked to were the lake meats the inside of the cave. Batman was silent for some time before Nightwing finally spoke up.

"Something's on your mind, what?" Nightwing had been around The Bat since he was nine when his family died at the hands of Two-Face.

"You seem to be having problems functioning as a group lately," He turned to Nightwing and narrowed his eyes, "I'm thinking about another recruit, one that can pull all the personalities of your group together." He stopped, waiting for an answer.

"Yeah we have had our problems but will another person really help that?" Nightwing thought to himself, Won't that just add another personality to the already wacky mix that they have here. Wouldn't that mean that there would be another 'leader' who is in charge of something else? By now Batman's face was back to normal, without a trace or hint of emotion ever there. "I think we have a lot of new people here that need to learn still, another just seams like it would be a lot more to handle."

Nighwing's answer was not what he was expecting, "If you think you can fix the team problem on your own do so. Another failed mission and I will be bringing in another, she can fix what you can't." With that he went back into the cave, through the zeta tubes and to the Batcave.

He is never that outspoken! Nightwing thought to himself, If he thinks we have a problem that can be fixed by some girl he has another think coming. The other side of him though it would make sence to bring in another instead of leaving her to roam using her power to her own gain possibly helping the Light or the Injustice League. He would think about it later but now he had a more pressing problem to deal with.
