Kayla's P.O.V.

It's been 4 months since my sister vanished off the map. It's become more or less general knowledge that Damian knows where, but he isn't saying. Even the tiny clue he gave Dick is worthless unless we get every meta in the world there. But even then, Karra's smart she'll either have given up, or moved at least six times. If she's smart and abandones all heart she'll have moved off planet. But you and I both know she won't do that. Blurr hasn't shown up either. That cat was more important to her than it was to me. But Karra must've forgotten that I keep a few small special snacks in there. But she probably needs her bow more than I need my snacks.

I don't go on patrol every night anymore, but I'm going out tomorrow, I stick around with Barbra sometimes running our fake version of 'Mission Control.' I still go out. but it's never like I used to. I enjoyed being in the thick of it, with a dozen goons to myself, free for the kicking. But now, I've lost some of the will, that spark that everyone has to fight.

In non-batman related news, elementary school is boring. I'm more than smart enough to skip to high school, but Daddy won't more forward with it. He's taking it hard too. He's more violent than he should be, more distant, the boys have almost shunned me, expect Dick. But he's the last person I want to talk to.

I haven't gone back to the cave since Karra. I have no idea what they're thinking about us. About her.

About me.

I know Karra's the one in real danger, with the league of Shadows using her and wanting both of us back. And with Dick. . . I honestly don't know what to do with him. I've been scrambled since she left. I can't fit Dick in anywhere. Damian has respect for the fact that she can take over an entire planet in days. Tim's sitting on the fence seeing what's going to happen next to break the stalemate. Jason's. . . Jason. Daddy just wants her back. Barbra believes she might be able to wipe out the leagues brainwashing. But Dick is something else. He almost acts like he wants to protect me from her. The very idea of it is just ludicrous.

*Mumbled noise in the background*

So yeah, that just happened. I'M NOT DEAD. Mostly. I'm not really sure. I've all but abandoned my books, but someone here decided she liked 'em so here you go. Officially the shortest chapter I've ever written. I've actually got 'ideas' but this book will end soon. However, Book 2 will be up, I'll throw it it's own chapter later, but for now there will be another chapter or two I'm not sure just how I'ma specifically end it. So, yeah. . .
