Ship Fallout

I realized that Tigress was shaking me, my eyes flung open and and I bolted upright breathing hard. "Midnight are you OK what happened?"

I looked around, releasing I was no longer 6 and weak, I looked around to see I was laying on the floor. "I...I," after composing myself I said, "Yeah I'm fine, I just didn't expect to see that." I got up and started walking out, "This was the only thing that was out of the ordinary and there is nothing there that's important." The rest of the team started radioing in.

Tigress, "I found you having a seizure, and now your 'just fine'?"

I gave her a pointed look, "I'm not normal I thought that was known," I walked down the hall to the elevator and pressed the up button, I forgot how they made everything look the same so the elevation looked like the wall. The doors opened and Tigress followed me.

Tigress, "How did you know there was an elevator here? I never saw that on the map or on the way down."

OK quick excuse, "I just saw it on the side of the wall, does it matter anymore? We have a faster way up." Please don't say anything, please don't say anything. She dropped the subject, but not without giving her a pointed look.

KF, "Hey where have you guys been M'gann has been waiting for you two, where have you been?"

Tigress, "Nowhere, those floors were just like the others, did you or anybody else find anything?"

KF, "No, and no." They nodded together and walked to the ship.

---in the air---

M'gann, Tigress, KF, Batgirl, bumblebee, and Guardian were all sitting in front, where they normally sit. I was in back still remembering my flash back, maybe I do still have some telepathic, speed power. The ship works on a telepathic interface, maybe I can communicate with her. I placed my hands on the floor and tried to talk to her, Hey, can you hear me? M'gann yelped and the ship nose-dived, WAIT, calm down, just relax, good now flatten out, there you go. I opened the door "you guys OK? What happened?" I walked over to M'gann and put my hand on her back, 'please don't tell them'

She looked up at me shocked, slowing whatever she was going to say she nodded, "She got scared about something, whatever it was, it's gone now."

Midnight, 'thank you." I turned back around and sat back on the floor 'talking' the the ship and M'gann. She was the first to speak.

M'gann, 'what was that? I thought you said you didn't have superpowers!'

Midnight, 'I don't think I ever said that, and I didn't know I had them until today.' Do I tell her what happened or save it for another time?

M'gann, 'is that what took you and Tigress so long, you were getting powered?'

Midnight, so I tell her now, 'No, at least I don't think so, I had a memory, I think that is the compound they kept me in. There was a girl named Raven i think, the head Doctor/scientist wanted her to test something on me,' I don't want anyone knowing about Kayla, not yet, 'It wasn't the worst thing they put me through but after that I was strong and could run fast, move through walls and, nmow that I think about it I can do more. Sort of like a mind over matter thing.' I chuckled a little 'as you just saw I also have some sort of telepathic power too. Please don't tell anybody.'

M'gann 'i promise, but I want to know something.' she stopped.

Midnight, 'what,' please don't be anything about the compound.

M'gann, 'what did they do to you in there?'

Suddenly the whole ship jerked and wen plummeting down and both girls screamed but Midnight only grunted. The ship was hurt. Pressing as much of herself on the floor and walls as she could she tried to speak to the ship, 'come on girl, I know you're hurt but please pull up at least a little' her frantic words continued as the ship went down, now she heard the rest of the crew screaming 'Oh come on ol' girl you... can... do...this.' Black spread across my vision, 'your stronger than this Midnight, you can do better,' an electrical current came across the floor, before I had time to react it shocked my body across the 'room'. The last thing I saw before black swamped my vision was somebody or something in a tall flowing black robes.

'Daddy, save me.'
