Suki's Pov :

"We're back, Captain Endo!" I yell as I run up to my team along with Aratani.

He looks up at me with a bored expression than replies, "yes, I know. Glad you're both back."

He then directs his attention to Aratani and ask, "did she use the spirt's spiritual energy again?"

"Yes," Aratani replies flatly.

Crap!

Captain Endo frowns then sighs. I take a step back, but I'm stopped by him grabing my wrist. I jump slightly as he looks back over at me.

"Why do you always insist on using the spirit's power instead of your own?"

"I...it doesn't matter. Now can you please let my wrist go?"

He sighs as he slowly withdraws his hand. The captain stands up and then leaves without another word. I stare at where he was before as I rub my wrist.

Jun, my only male friend, laughs, "Damn Suki! Didn't think you'd be the one to piss our captain off!"

I glare at him and reply,"shut up. I'm pretty sure that he's not pissed off."

Emiko, Aratani's younger sister and my best friend, asks,"then why did he walk away?"

"I-...uh cuz he had to do something," I reply while I take a seat beside her. Jun scoffs but doesn't say anything further, and Aratani also sits down.

"So, Suki, on another note, I heard that most of the guys are planning to ask you out," says Emiko with a grin.

I roll my eyes and reply, "I don't care. I'll just reject all of them. They only want to date me because I have the highest rank out of all the mages-to-be."

Jun says,"yeah you're probably right about that."

I raise an eyebrow at him, and he coughs then looks away. I roll my eyes and look over at the dirty blonde, Emiko. She smiles then points at a group of guys talking while glancing my way. I sigh in annoyance as one guy starts to come over.

The raven haired male scratches the back of his neck before asking shyly, "u-um, Su-Suki, w-would you l-l-like to g-go on a da-d-date wi-with m-me?"

I look up at him with a bored expression and reply coldly, "no, I would not like to go on a date with you."

His brown eyes widen and fill with...hurt? I simply get up and head to my room. There's no way I'm gonna date someone who's only going to use me...that's not love, and I want love.
