Suki's PoV:

The training with Eshima was rough at first, however, it runs smoothly now that we have been around each other more. It has been a month since we started, so the process has had plenty of time to adjust accordingly. She's...even grown on me-only a little!

Sure, if you say so, Master Suki.

Hey?! What's that supposed to mean?!

Nothing at all mistress.

Stop calling me things like that Kane...I'm not your master. I'm your partner...

...as you wish, Suki.

I sigh and slump further down into my chair. Beads of sweat roll down my forehead, forcing me to unbutton my shirt.

Good thing I'm wearing a sports bra, plus I'm only sitting here with Aratani and Emiko.

"Suki, that's indecent," Aratani scolds with a frown and crossed arms.

I roll my eyes then pull my shirt all the way off. I smirk and ask, "how about now?"

Aratani's frown deepens, however, she doesn't say anything else. Emiko shakes her head at us then walks back into the bathroom to "freshen up." Three minutes later, she walks back out with no more sweat clinging to her body. Aratani takes her turn and leaves the bathroom just as refreshed.

"Suki, you wanna go clean up before we leave?" The dirty blonde headed teen asks me. I once again look her way and take in the sight. Her medium length hair is loosely pulled back into a bun at the top of her head, giving her quite the innocent look. She's wearing a long, white blouse covered in pink and blue flower petals, a pair of white leggings, and her favorite pair of pink slip ons.

I shrug, "cleaning up will be fine, I guess."

When I come back out, the two siblings are talking vigorously about food, specifically, cakes. I can't help but to chuckle at them as the convention gets more heated. When sarcastic insults get involved, I decide to break it up, casually stepping in and asking where we're going to eat. The two glare a moment longer then look to me.

"The cafe a few miles from here since its the closest place around."

"Ah, I see," I mutter than slip on my shoes, a pair of black and white converse. I decided to borrow a magenta colored casual dress from Emiko considering what I was wearing before was going to kill me in this heat.

"You look nice in that, Suki," Emiko compliments, a grin splitting her face.

I sigh unhappily, "thanks. I had no choice."

Getting to the cafe didn't take long, for Captain Endo drove us since it was on his way to the capital, which is where the Queen lives. The capital is roughly 10.5 miles from our school. The academy's official name is Lilith M. Academy named after the founder's daughter, the first female sage. Lilith was the air sage about 100 years ago around the same time the great fire spirit, Kane, went missing. He still hasn't told me the reason for his long absence, although, I'm fine with waiting till he's ready to share. He isn't obligated to tell me everything, same as myself. Ah, we are getting off track. Let's get back to what I was saying before.

Emiko is excitedly ordering a strawberry cheesecake and a frappe while Aratani is ordering herself the breakfast special consisting of eggs, toast, and bacon with orange juice. I ordered cheesecake with cookie crumble on top and water. I don't want to order a hot drink when it's so hot outside. I'll melt.

As we wait for our food, Emiko and Aratani argue over what drink goes best with pizza. Aratani says Pepsi while Emiko says Sprite. In my opinion I'd say it just depends on the person, however, I'm not going to say this to them. I don't want to get caught up in this.

The food arrives in the midst of this argument, and the two are blissfully unaware. The waiter, a blond haired, blue eyed young man with broad shoulders, looks slightly amused and conflicted. I wack both of their arms, gaining their attention successfully if not in a questionable manner.

"Sorry about them. They're siblings, so this happens often," I apologize monotonously.

The two look away in embarrassment, blushes adorning their faces.

The waiter scraches his neck awkwardly and reasures us that its no big deal. "You guys weren't a bother. We have very few customers today, and anyways, you were not loud."

Hopefully they won't do this again today. We are going to hang together all day, but if they keep doing this, I don't think I'll make it.

They continuously argued all day. They embarrassed themselves and me on multiple occasions while we were shopping and even when we were watching a movie. The one I've been wanting to watch ever since I seen the first trailer for it!...they owe me a movie because guess what...we got kicked out of the movie theater.

"Can this day have been any worse?" I grumble, pulling the dress over my head and throwing it into the pile of dirty clothes.

The door opens...and in walks my soul mate. Our eyes meet as we both process the situation. Then it hits us.

I'm standing in my underwear and bra.

Our faces both erupt. Tyler slams the door shut and yells apologies from the other side. I cover my face with my hands and grumble.

My undergarments aren't matching...

Is that all that you're embarrassed about?

Well yeah. It's not like I'm naked. I don't care if he sees me like this. I just wish it was when I matched.

I hurridly put on a pair of black shorts and a white t-shirt then open the door to let Tyler in. His face is still a bright red, and he apologizes once more.

"It's fine. You didn't do it on purpose."

He hesitantly walks in my room as if it's some kind of trap. I sigh and close the door behind him.

"So what did I do to deserve the pleasure of seeing my boyfriend this evening?" I tease with a devilish smile.

Tyler blushes once again and scratches his cheek. He avoids eye contact by glancing around the room then finally looks back at me.

"Well...first of all I've miss-missed you. I've grown to be accustomed to your presence in my life and being apart for over a month has...made me appreciate you and our time together more."

I feel my face heat up at his confession.

"I've missed you too," I mutter while turning my head away to look at the wall. I'm too embarrassed to keep eye contact. "Secondly?"

He continues, "secondly, the...the Queen wants to meet you."

His tone had gotton serious. I blink and process this information.

"Kya! What?! The-the Queen wants to meet me?! Me?!"

My mouth hangs open with bulged out eyes.

But why?

You are the fire sage. It's only natural.

Tyler smiles gently and softly smooths down my hair. I visibly relax and lean into his strong figure. Tyler might not work out but let me tell you that he's in perfect shape and is easily one of the strongest guys in the world. He wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me into him further and supporting my body.

"You don't have to worry. The Queen is a nice lady. She's very chill and calm. Despite not having kids or grandchildren, she is as kind as any grandmother would be. You'll be fine, and besides, me and the other Sages will be with you," Tyler reasures brightly.

That's good...I still don't want to embarrass myself though. I'll make sure to make a good first impression.

I am sure you will have no trouble doing so.

Than..ks.....Tyler's so warm...it's making..me sleep...y...
