Shit's about to go down boiio

"Aki, get back here as soon as you can okay? We found a letter at the foot of the front door—." The dial tone beeped in my ear signalling she hung up.

I attempted to call back multiple times, only to be left hanging by the answering machine. What's going on, calling then hanging up? I'm not stupid enough not to realize that there's something wrong.

I stood up in a rush and picked up my jacket.

"Guys, I have to go," I brushed the loose strands of my blonde hair up out of my face. I tucked them behind my ear hastily, wanting to leave as soon as I had gathered myself and all my expanded thoughts together.

"Take my bags with you when you leave here, okay?" I stood on my tip toes and pecked Takashi's lips. His taste lingered on my lips, making me wish to stay by his side for as long as I could. I wanted to be encompassed by his scent and the feeling of his warmth, but I cannot wish for that kind of thing at this time.

I exhaled a sigh of worry.

"Why? What's going on?" The host club members pestered me as I shrugged on the loose grey cardigan. They were being nosy, but I knew they genuinely cared.

"There's a problem at the house, supposedly some note that was left on the doorstep. I really have to go, Maria sounded worried. Say farewell to Misuzu for me." I jogged out the door, checking for my house keys and my wallet in my pockets.

"Stay safe!" My brother yelled out the door.

I started out with a quick step down the street but as I realised time was of the essence, I was full on sprinting down the pavement. I neared the local airport that was only a ten-minute walk. I made it to the airport in four minutes, my sprinting coming to a halt as I entered the chilly airport.

No one was in sight. I looked around, no guards or stewardesses on site.

"Hello?" I cried, "hello!" I yelled louder this time. My voice echoed off the walls and a group of girls in flight attendant uniforms popped out of nowhere.

"Yes, Miss?" They bowed politely, but honorifics were not on my mind. The safety of my maids and those I love were on the line.

"I need the Hiitachiin jet started, pronto!" I yelled at the stewardesses, running past the girls and through the gates of the security check. My shoes pattered against the white tile floor, creating an echo that resounded throughout the entire, tiny airport.

Over the intercom I heard a lady name codes and shouts of hurry, signifying the other workers in the airport. "We have a code 31, we have a code 31. Start Hiitachiin immediately."

"Miss! Miss! We need an ID!" The guards that stood in the doorway that led onto the plane yelled at me. Ah, for fuck sakes!.

"Annette Aki Grantaine Suoh." I flashed my ID at them, my tone reeking of anger, "now get me on that fucking plane right now before I give birth to a cow."

They opened the doors with alarmed faces and bowed. I jogged through the corridors and stepped onto the jet. "Tell the pilot to take flight immediately, there's an emergency at home."

"Yes, Miss." The stewardess bowed before scurrying off to the front. Not soon after, I heard the sound of the plane doors close and lock. The engines were roaring beneath me and I buckled myself into a plane seat.

"Ah, shit. Come on, come on," I chanted to myself, aiming to get at least one phone call answered from the house before I took off. The dial tone rung continuously, leaving me hopeless.
